If it's not one thing, it's another! A couple of hours ago I composed a witty and exciting post about how my new copy of Vib Ribbon, ordered about 12 hours after the NJ Classic event last weekend, had arrived tonight and I couldn't wait to paly it. Before hitting Submit, I think I hit Preview to look it over and make sure I'd crossed the t's and dotted the i's.

WELL, I can't find any sign of my post anywhere now, so I'm guessing I hit Preview, and then NEVER HIT SUBMIT. D'Oh!!!!

Well, in a nutshell, the game was mesmerizing last weekend. See this pic for the results of the game in a room full of videogamers:

At any rate, I was hooked like a weak-willed junkie after trying the game out last Saturday night. And of course I was online Sunday morning, ordering my own copy of this delight at around 12:30 Sunday afternoon.

The game showed up tonight, and I just played it for about 45 minutes.

Initially I tried it with Bruce Hornsby - Hot House in the CD drive. WOW, did I suck! After a couple of humiliating attempts at that, I put the original game disc back in and got a little confidence back.

Eventually I decided I wanted to see if I can scrounge up some translated (english) directions online, and I stopped here on the way.

The game is very cool, and is available new at http://shop.himeya.com for $33, shipping included. I'm not a paid employee, just a satisfied customer.

BTW, have any of you found any particular music that isn't very difficult to play to on this game?

Seems Achika got everyone at Joe's house hooked on that game. Na-na Onsha! I would imaginethat some slow lounge lizard music would be easy on it. I wonder what would happen if i put my parappa sntrk in there...hmmm...

Vib Ribbon is great. My experience is that simple music with a clear rythm is easiest to play to. Bad religion comes to mind.
Although it also depends on the difficulty settings.

Wow, that's a great deal in price, better than what I got.. But that's okay, I'm also helping someone else get a game they wanted in the bargain. So, I'm waiting for the game to show up from Canada, and then I've got to wait till Philly so I can get a system to play it on! Yeah, I got hooked thru the nose too, watching, and as soon as I got back home started looking to see where I could get a fix!

We have a review of this game online too - for anyone else who's curious about this game. It's really a lot of fun - a very strange game when you first witness it but once you understand what's going on you'll be hooked!

If anyone can find me a Vib Ribbon soundtrack or "Laugh & Beats" album, I'd me much obliged. Can't seem to get my computer off the official site with the music playing in the background. :D

So I was going to try to get my copy of Vib Ribbon working with my mac emu software since the game DOES NOT WORK with exchangers & disc swap methods.

THE SOUND TRACK IS ON IT!!!

So we can all just throw our Vib Ribbons into our CD players and enjoy! Pretty schweeet.

Yeh, it's too bad about Vib Ribbon not working with swaps. Vib Ribbon was what drove me to get a, um, fixed PS1 before I even tried it. So when you put in your NTSC U Playstation, does it just not work at all, or does it work except for the part where you put your own music in to generate landscapes?

You can cycle through all the menus, but when you go to play the actual game, it gives you an error message of some sort. It's kinda wierd, cause Vibri is on the screen and all, so I don't know exactly what is going on since i can't read Japanese.
