Could I connect my xbox 360 to my intel Macbook to get on Xbox Live? I dont have xbox live right now and I really dont want to pay for the wireless 360 adapter if I dont have to. If all I need is an ethernet cable that would be fantastic.

I connect to the internet on my mac wirelessly to a router. I have Comcast cable internet. I have searched this site, xboxscene.com and macworld.com and also googled this with no luck.

Someone know the answer?
Thanks for the help.

the process would be share your internet on the mac, then you would need a CROSSOVER cable to connect the xbox to the mac.

unless you have a very strong wireless connection from where you are I don't really recommend going wireless.

if you need a more detailed explaination I would have to get back home to provide it

That all depends. Do you have DSL?

When i play my 360 online i don't even put it through a computer, i just transport the DSL box over to the 360 (It's only across the room) And hook it up there. (I have the hookups for two DSL boxes, so it isn't that much of a pain)

I don't have to reconfigure the DSL settings on my 360 or PC when i do this, I just restart the 360 or PC.

You said you have a wireless router, which should have some ethernet ports on it. If your Xbox 360 is close enough to your router, you can plug an ethernet cable from your Xbox to your router, without having to bother with your Mac at all.

Absolutely. I assume you want to connect your MacBook to your wireless router, and then run a short Ethernet cable from the Xbox 360 to the MacBook?

On your MacBook, open System Preferences. Select the Sharing icon.

On the Sharing preferences page, click the Internet button to access internet sharing options. You may have to click the padlock icon in the lower left corner to unlock your preferences by entering your admin password if you have not made any changes recently.

Click Start to enable internet sharing. You'll want to share your connection from AirPort in the drop down menu, to computers using Built-in Ethernet (or something to that effect) in the list below that.

That should be all there is to it!
