Hello everyone, long time lurker second time poster and I allready have a question.

I am trying to play some Odyssey 2 games on my PC, I followed all the instructions from here on another page several times and even deleted everything and started over. I cant get it to work. When I click on the O2EM launcher it comes up and lists all the games to left, I double click any game and keeps giving me an error message stating: "Error Running O2EM. Maybe the Allegro DLL is missing...." but I have checked and there is an Allegro40.dll file in there.

Could someone help. Thanks

Okay. Let's see:

I'll assume you're playing through windows.

Are you using the O2EM launcher?

Trying to use straight O2EM through Windows won't work.

Yes, I am trying to play through windows and using O2EM launcher. I followed the instructions via this web site for windows play and still no luck. What besides straight O2EM do I need.

Thanks

Like the other poster, I have also followed the instructions to the letter and nothing works.

I'm having a problem with this frontend, as well.

Whenever I go into the settings screen to set the bios, the entire frontend crashes.

But you can play o2em with XP. Just use your command prompt, if you remember the old DOS commands.

I'm really really sorry for hyjacking this thread, but I haven't been able to post in about 3 days now, it says something about DEBUG mode.

More on topic, o2em launcher is the way to go for sure. Sometimes turning on XP's back compatability thing helps.

Funny, I have O2em and the front end and haven't had any of these problems.

Hopefully this isn't against the rules (the O2 is a very dead console) but HERE'S (http://home.comcast.net/~griking/o2.zip) a zip of my entire O2 folder including allegro.dll and all other necessary files. Just be sure to go into the front end options and make sure that it's looking in the right folfers for the roms and bios.

This worked GREAT!!!! Thanks a lot Griking. This brings bake the memories. I love playing Pixk Axe Pete and KC Munchkin. Lots of other cool games I did not have on my NON working Odyssey 2 system. Thanks again.
