Only if it's complete is it, a steal. I've seen so many on ebay go unsold. I can't blame them for not getting sold. There's only 3 games that need it and it's a really expensive and space consuming accessory. Shipping can be something that kills on it sometimes 300 in itself. The fact that its local is a really good thing in your situation. Exertainment Speed Racer is a valuable cart in itself though I would not say that it's worth 300 alone.

I'd say that if it's complete and your a SNES entusiast, get it. But if it's not it could just be something sitting around your house thats not complete. In that case, just try to talk him out of the Speed Racer cart.

Take pictures of a complete one and compare them side by side. If there's something that missing, it will be near impossible to find one that's being parted out or find the piece that you need.

Recently, I've seen one particular Exertainment Bike come-up on ebay which was on the wrong bike. Link Here's a link to that auction, it maybe that bike. The pics are gone but it was on a 3500 series bike and should be on a 9XS series bike. It was in Alexandria, VA but I don't know where you live. At any rate it should look like this:

It didn't sell on Ebay for 350 bucks. I heard that someone tried to talk him out of the Speed Racer cart but he did want to separate it.

$350 isn't that bad if the blond comes with it. 8-) I have some grandparents up about an hour outside Alexantria but it wouldn't interest them and stashing it for a few months til Christmas is out of the question.

LOL ^^

Well I'll say this, if you got the cash to throw around, and if you have the SLIGHTEST inkling you may regret it if you don't get it, then get it.

Enjoy yourself and have no regrets if you can afford it.

Nothing sucks more than those coulda woulda shoulda non-purchases

I wish that the picture were still on Ebay so everyone could see that the bike had no monitor, the snes was sitting on a table next to the bike, and I have no idea how the pedals were rigged-up.

I tried to see if he would just sell MBR/SR and he said he would consider it, but never got back to me and still won't respond to emails on the subject. It's the only game I'm missing from my US SNES collection.

The cart last sold on eBay for ~$100 I think, so it should be worth around what it is listed for in the guide. I'd be willing to pay the guide price if someone could find a copy for me...

I think that they go for 100+ when they come up but they don't come up often. What about offering him something for the cart and the exertainment system? Strip the bike. That way you don't have to store the bike and you have the system.

Is cannondale cup compatible with the Bike as well?

There are three games that I know of that utilize the capabilities of the Exertainment Bike. Mountain Bike Rally, Speed Racer w/MBR, and Cannondale Cup. All the games are playable without the Bike on a standard controller.

From what I've seen on Fitgo, they are refurbished bikes.
