i won an auction for a sealed copy of excitebike recently and i paid $200 for it, which isn't bad but when i got it. it had a corner smashed in slightly which he mentioned but said the box was not deformed much, which it is and the top flap on the box is folded up and when i contacted him he is unwilling to negotiate the price or give me a refund. so does anybody know if i can pull the payment through paypal? any help is appreciated

also, i just want to pull the payment so hes knows i'm not just playing games, i paid $200 for a nice game, not this pile of crap he sent me. anybody want a beat up sealed copy of excitebike for $200? :(

Pay-pal won't refund money for misrepresented items.
Use SquareTrade and they'll help resolve the matter. Also contact e-bay and pay-pal. They can't get your money back but when he get's 3 e-mails he might decide to be reasonable.
I've used SquareTrade and got my money back every time. :D

I agree squaretrade would be a good option. If the seller does not want to work with you this usually works. I have been seeing WAY too many sealed NES games on ebay lately, makes me wonder how many are fakes.

what do you mean you've seen way too many on there? i usually get 2 pages of results, sometimes it runs over a little onto 3 pages.......i do see alot of the games going for low prices, like the excitebike i got.....i thought it was a good deal.......if it didn't show up lookin like it was fed to roofus

What I am saying is there is way too many titles showing up that are "supposedly" brand new, sealed on ebay. If you have been watching it the past few years, I would say there are more new titles showing up now than there were a couple of years ago, which would make me concerned. Just because a game has a "horizontal seal" does not make it a new game. It doesn't take much practice before a person who reseals games to get the horizontal line. A legit new game should have an extremely tight wrap. (Usually there is no air pockets in the seal and any damage to the box should be also damaged to the shrinkwrap) If I were you I would get a second opinion on your excitebike game to see if it is the real deal.
