Am I the only one salivating over all the vintage wares?

That's the first time I've ever heard the word "dash" being used to refer to a level (I've always heard it as "level three one"). Out of curiosity, do any DP'ers actually say "level three dash one?"

Thanks for the link!

It was mentioned in an issue of Nintendo Power long ago when a reader wrote in and asked what their last names were, resoning that if they are the Mario Brothers, then that means their last name is Mario. Nintendo Power confirmedthat it is indeed true...their full names are Mario Mario and Luigi Mario.

So, it wasn't just the SMB movie that confirmed this, but NP too.

I sure wish that I had some of those gaming displays...
Well, too bad a lot of it is destroyed (I came so close to getting a World of Nintendo sign from Meijer a few years back when they were redoing their video game section, but I missed it by a few days and I found out from an employee that it was thrown in a trash compactor :( ) .

That was a cool video, thanks for sharing this!

At 0:44 I love the way he says: "BUT WHO ARRRE THESE GUYS?"

"Who ARE the Mario Brothers?"

"...I don't know."

ROFL

Also, as it has been said, seeing all the Nintendo gear in the store made me drool. Those were good times. I wish I could dive through my monitor and grab all those sealed games. ;)

I never knew about that turtle shell trick in 3-1, either. Weird. I knew about the "beanstalk" though. I always called those things "vines".

And speaking of 3-1...

Nope, I have always referred to them as level "three one". For example, you start out in world "one one".

Yeah I would like to see him be optimistic about video games now. I am sure he did not call GTA: San Andreas a "fantasy" adventure.

Heh, now go try it. Much harder than it looks (not so hard on Allstars tho).

It was cool to see all those new games on the shelves, wish I could go back.
