I posted this awhile ago but didn't get any definitive feedback. Is there a real way to detect factory sealed Sega Master System games? I recently won a bunch of SMS games on ebay that were supposedly factory sealed but there are a couple things that strike me as odd. First, the wrap goes all the way around and over the top of the box, including the hangtab. This is odd because to my knowledge hangtabs were never shrinkwrapped because the games had to be hung on displays. Second, the wrap "line" goes along the spine, over the top, and down the other side. It does not go along the bottom like some of my other sealed games. Can anyone shed any insight? I would ordinarily say these might be rewrapped but the shrinkwrap is very "hard" and not the typical kind that is used for rewraps.

The last sealed SMS game that I bought had the "hard" shrinkwrap that you are describing and it did go partially over the hang tab. As I recall, there were gaps in the shrinkwrap at the bottom and top of the box, both were elliptical. This game was factory sealed with an original K-B toys tag on it, so I'm fairly sure of the authenticity. It was opened by me and at the time it was opened, the contents were absolutely untouched. Unfortunately, I can no longer go and look at a sealed one for you, b/c I've opened all of mine to play.

Emauast - I should mentioned I was referring to US SMS games. But if anyone would like to help me out I would be happy to send you pics - just PM me with your e-mail. Thanks.
