Game Boy Pocket screen problem

Hello, my Game Boy Pocket has very strange white lines running across the screen. I am unsure of what the problem is, so I am looking for any ideas on what it may be.

it looks like a problem with the in connection to the LCD, you can try and take it appart and clean the contacts going to the LCD, that might fix the problem

thats exactly the problem but DONT take the screen apart to clean the contacts, you may never get it back together in a working condition. try putting pressure on the contacts where the lines are about and see if they go away
