Hey folks I finally made a thrift find. (Well, I kind of took the year off from collecting, but I went into one today for the heck of it.) I found a weird TG16 (See my other thread) and this thing. I thought it might be a Genesis cart but it does not fit. It won't fit in a SNES or N64 or 32X. either. I don't have an NES but the connecting board is too short. Any ideas? I'm stumped. It looks cool though lol.

Let me know what you all think.

It's probably a Famicom (Japanese NES) multicart pirate, count the pins - there should be 60 (30 per side).

Yeah, probably a famicom pirate. I'm shocked at how much it resembles an N64 cart, though.

It's fairly common nowadays for Famiclones to resemble N64 consoles, and bootleg games to resemble N64 cartridges. They have to keep up with change at least to some extent, to keep people guessing ;)

Kudos to Insane David. It does have 60 pins. Pits, I thought it was a cool Genesis multicart. I sold my NES and Honeybee cart a long time ago as I play all my NES games on the Dreamcast. Is this thing worth anything? Anyone need one lol? This always happens. I take some time off from collecting, then by chance stumble across some cool things. Now it will sit on one of the shelves like the TG16 I found today lol. Thanks for the help guys. I appreciate it.

No problem. It's not worth much at all I'll buy it from you if you have no use for it. I have a strange fixation with pirate NES and Famicom stuff and build Famicom-NES converters using the old official NES parts. (super low res pictures)

I'm really just curious what games it has on it, although it's probably about three dozen glitchy variations of Contra. LOL

I love pirate and multicarts... I must have near 75 of them!

My hunch is that it will have some aftermarket "homebrew" games on it. It looks like a relatively recent Famicom bootleg, and those tend to have at least some original games on them (but always somewhat similar to retro-classics).
