Hey folks I finally made a thrift find. (Well, I kind of took the year off from collecting, but I went into one today for the heck of it.) I saw this case sitting on one of the shelves and my jaw dropped.

Reaching for it, I prayed there was some weight to the thing. I grabbed it and sure enough there was something in it and it was pretty damn heavy. I opened it up and this was inside:

I took it all out and apart and here is what we have:

I realized there was no controller or games so I went back to check and see if I missed something. The good news I found Bonks Revenge nearby. The bad news no controllers. I don't collect TG16 stuff. But I did sell it back in the day. I don't remember seeing this particular setup. Is it the base unit, then an add on bus a-la the Sega-CD? It looks like it. I will hook it up later and see if she comes up. Wish me luck. Oh, does anyone have a spare TG16 controller lying around they don't use?

LOL

That's a TurboGrafx-16 and a TurboCD with the TurboCD mounting base. However it's useless without the CD System Card HuCARD.

Read here for more information (http://pcenginefx.com/main/nec_compatibility_guide.html).

The cd attachment is useless without the special TGCD ac adapter. I can't seem to find one anywhere. It's impossible to find on it's own I think.

On top of that, those CD players were not built to last. I guess a lot of people are having problems with them nowadays. Good luck getting it running; it's fun to dink around with because there are so many components.

LOL I figured it was too good to be true to have everything all together. Well the good news is it all seems to work. I forgot to put it in the picture, but it did include the adapter. If I put in Bonks Revenge, it comes up great. If I take it out and pop in a CD, it plays it. (Though not in a cool way like on screen visualizations like the Saturn). Now I just have to figure out what to do with it lol. I don't collect for it and it doesnt have a controller. Thanks for the help guys. I really appreciate it.
