How long does it take to get to the USA and when should I start to worry? I specified airmail, not EMS, whatever that is.

From my experience, airmail should not take any more than 2 weeks in most cases. Anytime you're ordering anything expensive from overseas, always get EMS shipping. It's worth the extra money especially on higher priced items. EMS is trackable, and will get to you usually within 3 days.

Stuff usually gets to me within a couple weeks by airmail. EMS (express mail service) is typically within a week. If it's been more than a month, I might start to worry. Some people report airmailed items mysteriously appearing at the front door months after being sent, though.
The HK ebay guys usually disclaim all responsibility for lost airmail items, although I've gotten a couple of things via "registered airmail"; I'm not sure if that means it's insured or not, but they always have to find the keymaster at the local post office, because it's kept under lock and key.

What do ya'know. Right when I begin to worry, I go to the PO today and it's there. YAY! :)

Funny how that works... It always seems that a package shows up only a day or two after asking when they sent it...
