I never thought for the life of me, I would ever read positive news about the 360 in Japan - lo, and behold. I was mistaken... And I'm so glad I was! :D

lol really that means nothing

Microsoft is still dead in Japan and I doubt it will get any better unless they keep it up with hit game after game otherwise 2 games don't mean a thing

Well, if there were 100,000 pre-orders it means that there will be 100,000 more people with a 360 who will most likely buy at least one more game. And sure, 100k isn't a ton but it's at least a start.

It all depends how you want to look at it. It sounds like you're a "the glass it half empty" person.

not at all, I am a Glass half full person, but I am looking at the past and how Microsoft has handled Japan, I don't think it will get any better either unless they keep it up, because both games they are releasing do look great, but it's only two games

So we will see but I just don't see that it makes much difference at the moment.

I think this will be good for MS in Japan. Developers now know what the Japanese market wants with absolute certianty. So maybe developers will see this as good news and some RPG developers will start making some strictly for the Japanese market. A single game sold the PS1, and supposedly, alot of Japanese gamers were waiting for this game.

Just like alot of people elsewhere will buy a 360 when Halo 3 and Halo Wars come out.

Oh - and by that single game remark, I was talking about FF7, of course...
