Well.. the tabels are true. Thats the expences you will have if you want all that stuff for 360. If you want to compare all you must include the HD-DVD addon. However, you will have 2 controllers for the 360 if you buy a wireless extra.

Hehe, i couldnt care less actually about the marketing, thats not why i get the console. Even if Sony said that Hitler was cool i would still get the PS3.

Alright, Im not a total sony hater, and Ive remained quiet until now.
This is getting out of hand, everything sony does is reminding me of a different conole launch faux pas, Im expecting them to feature FEKA in their ads any day.
Sony, get your act together quick or youre going down, stop taking fact sheet marketing tips from Jack Traimel.

So if i don't buy a HD-DVD drive then the 360 will be the same price as the PS3
Plus i'd actually be able to *FIND* a system.
It's nice that Sony is putting this out, but if there isnt any product to sell people are just going to buy something else.
Or pay out the ass for one on Ebay and run into the possibility of simply buying a box. :D

Note that Sony fails to compare a premium 360, which has most of the "required" items on the list, and would be closer to the price of a low-end PS3. And when is a disc drive add-on that doesn't even play games considered required?
When Sony forces it into its new console. ZING!

The premium is $399 so the only difference is $50 since you get a wireless controller there. When i bought my GC i was forced to buy their DVD player. Same when i bought N64 and PSX, i was forced to buy the cart reader and CD-ROM. I was so pissed! :(

Did this sony rep forget to add the fees too? Like downloading PS1 games, downloading demos? Maybe free to play online, but cost to get 1 game just like 360 :)

Well I find it interesting...
For all Sony says about the price of the PS3 being irrelevant, this is clear evidence that they realize price is going to be an issue.
For anyone saying that it's technically true, remember that one can buy the premium pack for $399 and get the HDD, Wireless, Live Access included.

i think this is meant to simply show that to have a like system, youll have to shell out the same for an xbox as a ps3. not meant for sony to defend the fact that they suck, simply to shut up the fanboys(like many of those in this thread) that have been basically saying 'sony sucks, they charge too much'. to have a like system, this seems feasibly accurate. we are also seeing this out of context...i didnt download the full doc, so maybe that shines further light on things...
ok, now everyone back to the 'sony sucks so bad and they will surely go out of business NOW' talk...

Sony's missing the point. It's not the fact that they charge too much that pisses me off. Actually, the PS3 is cheap for what it does. It's the fact that I don't want any of the "extras" that they're pushing. It's all about choice.
