Hi everyone
Just a reminder that the North-West Classic Gaming Fair is taking place at Great Eccleston near Blackpool here in the UK next weekend - full details at http://www.sincil.co.uk/gamefair/
(this is part of Eurocon 2006 which has been previously mentioned here).
The event runs from 11am to 4pm. Entry is £3 (under 16s £1.50).
The first 15 people through the door will get a free issue of Retro Fusion magazine (worth £3!)
We'll definitely have 3 arcade machines on freeplay: Defender (cocktail), Star Castle (cocktail) and Pleiades (mini upright). We may add another one or two by Saturday, depending how things work out.
As well as this, there will be lots of classic computers and consoles on freeplay, including Atari VCS, Atari 800, Vectrex, Colecovision, TI99/4A, MSX2, C64, Vic 20, ZX Spectrum, Gamecube, SNES, Megadrive and Dreamcast.
We'll have around 20 vendors selling lots of classic console and computer items.
Finally, there will be some competitions with prizes: a Sonic speed-run on the Sega Megadrive, a multiple choice quiz, and a raffle for a boxed Atari VCS in aid of the Starlight charity: http://www.starlight.org.uk/
