View Full Version : FS: BRAND NEW ORIGINAL NES Control Deck LOTS OF PICS

Brand new complete. Box opened total of 3 times, unit taken out of foam 0 times. Everything in original plastic, all items factory new. Look at pics.

Box is in fantastic condition, where it opens is slightly (very slightly) worn.

box is minty besides that, 9.5/10
inside: everything still brand new, untouched in the plastic-
all paperwork there.

one area of the foam between controller and ac was broken but is still there. this is due to ac adptr. being heavy and resting on the foam for 20 years, during shipping/movement/whatever, it had broken a small piece of the foam.

foam: 9/10

this is the most beautiful thing a NES collector could see, unless:
1. you have a new NES that is 100% perfect without the small piece of foam broken
2. you have a NWC cart

The unit isn't as dark as that photo makes it out to be, I'm not taking it out of the foam because I don't want to damage the foam or the unit.

Got it a few days ago from someone trying to get rid of it at a game store.

She said she was moving and found it in a closet in her basement, not sure how someone can have a 20 year old system in their closet like that, but not my place to question. The box has only been opened 3 times, once by the employee at the store and twice by me.

I gave her enough money to make her very happy though ;)

I think putting it on ebay would be the best way to figure out what it's really worth. I know that it's worth at least $250 since someone offered that, and nobody really offers what the item is worth. I would guess between $300 and $400, but I could be wrong.

I would love if somoene who had a good idea of values could give me an opinion on what to sell it for.

I would post a BIN for $600.00 or best offer. Personally I wouldn't sell it for less than $500.00 because it's a true collectors item. Well thats what the last factory sealed/brand new NES went for. That's your best bet!

It's the lighting not your monitor or the foam. The system looks dark and the foam looks dirty/dark. The foam did crack slightly where the AC plug is.

You could have got more than $255.00 for it. Buyatari paid $600 something dollars for one a month or two ago! I would have gave atleast $300.00 for it. Oh well...

I'm not trying to threadcrap, but there's no way in hell that's worth $600. No way in hell.

First, it's a Control Deck set, not an Action Set or other deluxe set.
Second, it's the later version box for the Control Deck system right before they went to the top loader. That system is likely circa 1991-1993.

I think it's a cool find that's worth some money to a serious collector like me, but the "Buy It Now for $600" is ludicrous. I have many new, in the box NES systems and I know pretty well what they are going for.
