Who's played Tales of the Abyss?

So far I absolutely hate it!

I LOVE Tales of Destiny and Symphonia, but what is wrong with this game?

RPG's should NOT come out on a yearly schedule... the production values for this game are abysmal!

For example, the overworld map is PS1-quality. Looks similar to FFVII. Oh and panning the camera while on the overworld? Jerks and stutters as you try to do it. And you can't tilt the camera up and down, only pan it left and right.

The character models are much much worse than Symphonia on the Gamecube as well.

Voice-acting is about the same (hey, movie trailer guy!)

I really really hope Nintendo buys a majority share in Bandai so it comes back to Nintendo systems, cause the last two Tales games have sucked :(

I really enjoy the story and battles a little more, but other than that its meh. Oh, but the Music is great IMO.

Question, are you getting slow loading in the game?

About normal for a PS2 game, imo.

Yeah, I'm probably ragging on it too much JUST for the graphics, but even though I usually don't care too much, it's hard to see graphics take a step BACKWARD in a series...

There's a difference between graphics that are simple and graphics that are ugly, and these are UGLY graphics
