Can anyone explain to me why i have one Pinky disc and a standard grey one!?
I was under the impression there was only one release.
Is it a reprint, limited edition?
Both the cases are exactly the same in design, as are the manuals. Both have the same code too

Expert info needed!!! :D

Not being a PAL DC person in the slightest, my guess is that one might be an English version... and the other would be a multi-lingual contential Europe one?

There's at least two variants of Sega Rally 2, not including the original pressing. I'm not sure which is the original, though. I'm sure none of them have altered content, so they'd only be required for a completist.

I wonder if this is because of the same reason that we Americans got Hot! New! versions of some games.

Adam, maybe Arcturius could shed some light on this for you. I know he has 3 varients of it. From the discussion I remember, there is no known reason. I know someone at some point suggested contacting Sega to ask them, dont know if anyone ever did.

AFAIK the "pinky" was a reprint, released a little while after the gray launch version of the disc. I'm not vertain as I don't have a pinky version, but try loading them up and checking the credits / options for a possible version change.

Normally, I'd expect the gray one to be the reprint -- grayscale printing is cheaper than full-color, you know?
