Jack's problem with Mortal Kombat Armageddon is Mortal Kombat: Armageddon contains an unauthorized commercial exploitation of my name, photograph, image, and likeness within the game.
The thing is Jack Thompson is not one of the 60 plus characters in the game. He got this from Judging from a photo of the game, Thompson is referring to a character made using the game's kreate-a-fighter mode.

Don't encourage him by even acknowledging his existence. If enough people just stop caring (and the fact that this hasn't happened yet is truly astonishing) and making a big deal every time the guy farts, maybe he'll, I dunno, go away?

Jack Thompson is stupid.
He is always going to try to pick a fight with games. Has he won any of his court cases against games (besides gta:sa). I mean seriously, he needs to let it go and focus his attention on crime and poverty instead of video games.

i thought the game was supposed to come out the same day the PS2 and XBOX version came out on.

It's not. This was meant as the send off on current gen hardware in prep for an entirely new MK on new hardware. The 360 version was canned a while ago.

That's weird. As far as the Marvel issue that was mentioned in the article, Marvel had a case (although not a particularly strong one). They could easily have argued that the objects (claws for Wolverine for instance) were placed specifically to circumvent the costs for licensing the characters. That's a half decent legal argument but if it had been fought all the way through, I doubt Marvel would have won.
In Jack's case, he's arguing that a collection of aesthetic factors, that can appear on any human being, can be made to resemble him. That's an absurd argument. Coming off that logic, any create a character option that can develop human beings can be held accountable for using ANYONE's image. I've made a rather good likeness of myself in Soul Calibur 3, should I sue the designers for my ability to do that?
And if so, perhaps Jack should name me in the case as well, as I'm sure that if he can be made, a likeness of me would be possible as well.
Does anyone think he's a plant by the industry to promote their products?
Also, is anyone thinking that their degrees mean absolutely nothing considering someone let this idiot through law school?
