View Full Version : Anyone Collecting Guitar Hero Controllers?

I decided this evening that I want to try and build a collection of Guitar Hero controllers. I know of 3 or 4 different models available, but a comprehensive list would be really handy. Does anyone here collect these or know of a place that lists all the aviailable controllers?

Well theres there are a few I can think of that are official, but almost all are packaging variants and not different guitars.
The original Slip case version of GH. (Black Guitar)
The later release that is the one buyable in stores now. (Black Guitar)
A two guitar packaged version. (Black Guitars)
The online order only Red Guitar (soon to be moot with the release of GH#2 since that will be the pack in guitar)
All the other ones i've seen have been 3rd party guitars that look like Flying V's are wireless or in different colors.

Guitar Hero II is programmed to only work with official RedOctane guitars. The wireless flying Vs don't work with the demo disc. Just thought I'd throw that out there.
And RedOctane says the online order only guitar is a CHERRY Gibson SG, while the GHII guitar is CLASSIC RED, and they SWEAR there is a difference. So we'll see.

The Online order one has a white pick guard doesn't it? I know the one with GH2 has a black one.
