I was in my local Wal-Mart yesterday looking for an Xbox wireless controller when I stumbled across the Pelicans. They normally sell for either $24.99 or $19.99 (I found two different prices) but they've been marked down to $8. There were only 3 there and at that price I picked them all up. These look and feel almost identical to a real S-pad. They run off of 2 AA batteries and have the small receiver (not the giant one others have). If you're looking for wireless controllers, you might head over to Wally-world and see what they've got discounted!
