well after a few days of thinking about ordering it, i finally placed the order today along with Last Blade 2 Final Edition. i hope both games kick ass. anyone else order KoF 2000?

Considering there is an import store right near here that sells import dc fighters, chances are I'll be getting it :D

Hell yes. Of course. I've tried LB2 for the Dreamcast....it has annoying problems with sound synchronization, because the Dreamcast is literally constantly accessing the CD during gameplay. I'd rather play Samurai Shodown anyway.

I'll wait and see what the reviews are like. Since SNK isn't handling its own games anymore, these third party companies with the rights are making some mediocre translations of games. KoF 99 for PSX and Metal Slug 4 left a bad taste in my mouth. There's no point for me to buy a KoF game just because it's in the series if it sucks.

final edition is the japanese version that has blood.
and yup yashiro id rather play samurai shodown too. i just discovered http://www.kaillera.com/ you use it with mame and you can play games like ss and KoF online. if some of us can figure it out, we should set up a tourney or somethin. regardless once i figure it out i wanna play some of you guys online.

Yep, Playmore is rereleasing Final Edition, and the only difference is that the blood is red. I might get the Mark of the Wolves rerelease at the new low price, just because it's Japanese. And it's a Dreamcast game. ^_^
Wish my computer was fast enough to play games online. I also wish I knew how to play Neo Geo games in MAME (OK, not really, NeoRAGEX suits me fine. I feel like some Shock Troopers right about now, but I'll probably play MERCS instead...)

I used to live on Sutphin yo... right there by the train station. Anyway, apparently, Mark of the Wolves import is cheap now? How cheap? I just sold the American one on eBay for $50.

mark of the wolves import rerelease should be 30, thats how much last blade 2 was.
us motw went for 50?!!? i just got mine sealed for 20 a couple months back.
EDIT: whoohooo, just got the email that my kof and lb2 got shipped today. friday should be sweet.

Got 2k friday and its a great port, definitely worthwile. The extra stages are awesome as hell.

me too, its a great game. played it most of the weekend. i just wish the storyline and endings had an english option.

I figure if I want to read what it says, I can go online and find the translation ;p so it's not a complaint for me.
I can finally use Vanessa. My friends kick my ass in 2k1 whenever I picked her before, but now I got some experience with her (granted, in 2k), I should be able to manage.
I just started getting the hang of Striker combos, Joe is as good as everyone says he is, for sure.
