There's a new game coming for the DC: Radium (http://www.radium-game.com/). And it's coming out fot Xmas. Hurrah.

It would appear this is in addition to the 12 new homebrew DC games that Goat Store store are also publishing.

Do you buy them off of the Goat Store website when they come out or what I can't seem to figure it out.

Yeah, it would appear you order direct from Goat Store.

I'm wondering how much of a graphical upgrade the game is going to receive.

I'm also wondering when the other 12 GS games are coming out. I want to play Age of the Beast!

The GOAT Publishing games can usually be found here and there from different online shops (one of them was always Lik Sang, though, so I guess that won't be an option anymore). I've always ordered directly from the The GOAT Store, though.

I, too, am really looking forward to some of the other announced GOAT Publishing games and hoping they don't get delayed too much. The GOAT Games Vol. 1 compilation has been in the works for a hell of a long time and it's really looking like it's shaped up nicely, that should be their next release, maybe even later this year if we're all good.

There's also a game announced called R3K which will be based on the 2600 (and arcade, I think?) game Ram It!, but with graphics inspired by Tempest 2000. That could be one of the coolect games ever if it comes together right.

Age Of The Beast should also be pretty cool. Though, ironically enough, the Beats Of Rage engine (originally also from the same developers, though now open source) has been customized to such a point by now that it seems like it offers more than Age Of The Beast will.

I've been away from posting because life has just got so busy, but I stopped back to check on my Prince of Persia thread that I started a few days ago and saw this...

Basically, the state of our Dreamcast games is this -- there is a TON in development, but it is all going to hit at the same time. We are trying to polish up and release no less than three games by Christmas, although it is going to be trouble on all of them, and we may end up with a whole bunch of early next year releases instead. We want to ensure that the games that we are releasing are quality, and not just something that we are pushing to market for the holiday season.

There are a LOT of updates that I need to do, but there is so much going on it is hard to stay on top of it all. Any day now I'll finish up the work to announce the next game that may be out sometime this year -- Blocks2: Master of Blocks. It's shaping up to be rather incredible. Take the concept of Lumines, add a bunch of different stuff and playmodes and that's kinda the idea here. I actually don't know how close it is or isn't to Lumines, as both the developer and I have not played the original game, although the game is (quite obviously) based on screenshots of what the core concepts of the game are. I need to find a copy of the original sometime... Time to justify an Xbox 360 ;)

If you'd like, you can judge it yourself -- here's a previously unreleased preview video that will be going up when we launch the new publishing section. (http://www.goatstore.com/blockssquare/BlocksSquare_Teaser1.wmv) We warned -- it's nearly 60 MB, so it will take a while to download!

And CosmicMonkey -- Karma / Retro Studios has approached us about possibly releasing over a dozen games from them, NONE of which are currently on the site. We're undergoing a little unexpected difficulty with porting Radium right now, so until that is all cleared up I don't want to say too much more about their future projects, but it could be a nice year or two of 'rebirth' if you will. Karma / Retro has worked on a number of Playstation, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance games in the past, so hopefully that gives you a starting place on what they'll be like (obviously, upgrading the Game Boy games if they are coming, like Radium).

We've also got a couple possible major distribution deals in the works, which would greatly help all of this. Oh, and one hell of a contest for when GOAT Games finally launches.

Anyway, I probably won't be checking the thread any more as I know that I'm practically booked solid on doing things until the middle of next week. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to email me. Hope that we can deliver games that live up to everyone's expectations... and then some!
