Finally I get to start one of these! LOL

From the flea market:
The Sims (PC), CD + jewel case
Cryptic Passage For Blood (Blood 1 PC expansion)

And a bunch of CDs that have no place here. Maybe later once I've sorted them out. ;P

I bought a Not For Resale copy of Mario Tennis: Power Tour for GBA, For $18 at EBGames!

I think this one was traded in with the copy of Donkey Kong Country 3 That I bought last week, As it had the same kind of permanent marker over the "Not for resale" part of the label.

Oh, that sounds great, thanks! Since it seems to be a common problem I never thougt it could be easy to fix :) But I donīt find any guids etc (maybe use bad search words in Google), does anyone have a link tip?

I found a copy of silent hill complete for the ps1 - 5 bucks.

Then I found this japanese dreamcast disc (and case artwork) that looks somewhat unique.

It says sega confidential on the cover - dreamcast system-disk

on the inside its a "gd-rom" system disc2

then says s-3527.

-5 bucks.
Did I get a good deal on something out of the ordinary?

Found an "Over 4 Million Rayman Games Sold!" game of Rayman 2: The Great Escape for PC. It's a paper slip front cover instead of manual so this must have been inside a box with seperate manual but at least I got the game. The place I got it from had a bunch of great PS1 and DC games for $1 but when you open the case it either had the wrong game CD in there or it was scratched to all hell making it only worth the manual and case, but none of them I own loose CDs of so I let them be. Rayman 2 was $1.

At another store they had the game complete for $9 but I didn't see they had it until someone purchased it. :P The place I was at had things like:
Alone In The Dark: The New Nightmare (PS)
-> No manual and missing disc 1
Test Drive 5 (PS)
-> Wrong disc & no manual
Sword of the Berzerk: Guts' Rage (DC)
-> Wrong disc

Those are the three main ones I recall but there was also a really good DC game that ended up having Sonic Adventure disc in there and was scratchy.

BTW: Anyone that's played Rayman 2 for PC: Did you get odd blocky graphics? On sprites rendered in the 3D world they have backgrounds that aren't transparent so they don't fit in well. Is this an issue with the drivers I have or the DirectX or what?

You found something that those in the DC dev scene really love and appreciate. That disc on a good day on ebay will net you about 150-200. Its pretty useless to the regular collector since it wont do anything with the DC, but if you also happen to have a Katana or DC dev unit then your set.

Just got back from a road trip to Kwinana, Rockingham and Port Kennedy, and found a couple things:

At Cash Converters, a N64 Backpack/carry case (http://members.iinet.com.au/~coleman/roadtrip/photo021.jpg), $AUS5

At Good Sammys, a MD Turbo Outrun, no manual, $AUS2 and a Battlestar Galactica book for $1 (http://members.iinet.com.au/~coleman/roadtrip/photo023.jpg)

At K-Mart, DS Puyo Pop Fever new for $AUS25 (http://members.iinet.com.au/~coleman/roadtrip/photo026.jpg), normally $AUS50. I'd called three other stores in metro Perth to find this the day of the sale and nothing.. today I get the last one. Yay Rockingham.

Super Mario World + Allstars cart, bad label - $2
ANOTHER DC MadCatz lightgun + Green memory card (with a ton of save data for various games) - $4 (This makes the SIXTH DC Lightgun I've found in six weeks!)

The vendor where I got the lightgun also had a grimy pad and a DC console which was uh, open. o_O Another vendor had a DC system with two pads, an asian 4x Memory card and a MadCatz rumble pack. She also had like six or so DC games. She wanted $15 PER GAME, and $10 for either the memory card or the rumble pack. I just stared and left as fast as I could.

Another vendor had a DC system in good condition for $30, but I didn't take it. And yet another one had a DC keyboard, complete in box, for like $10. Blargh. Great day for DC hunting, lousy day for prices. :(

Mortal Kombat 3-SNES-boxed

$2 each.

Apparently a rental stored dumped all their old rental games to GoodWill. They had a bunch of loose NES games, but they were sunfaded. Also had a few boxed Gen and a few boxed SNES sports games, but I didn't get them.

Undoubtedly my best day in Genesis collecting yet(referring to yesterday). Some of you may or may not know that I am currently(and slowly as I have no steady income) trying to pursue a complete Genesis collection, without spending more than $5 on a single game. So far so good(i might have spent more than that on one at some point but thats before I decided to do this). But yesterday, I finally started getting some harder to find ones at prices that are under $5.

Count these as finds if you will, or not, whatever, they were all in some form of me buying or trading for them.

From Kid Ice:(for a total of $20)
Battletoads/Double Dragon - CIB - R4
Funny World & Balloon Boy - CIB - R4
Hit The Ice - CIB - R5
Izzy's Quest for the Olympic Rings - Sealed
Justice League Task Force - Boxed
Lightening Force: Quest for the Darkstar - CIB(box damage) - R4
Quad Challenge - Boxed - R4
Taz-Mania - Boxed
X-Men - CIB
X-Men 2 - Boxed

From GrandAmChandler
---Both are loose carts, both done in trades(the latter in a trade cash deal)

Michael Jackson's Moonwalker - R3(personally find it harder to find than that)
Action 52 - R7(traded 2 nes games and $3, so total cost for me....$3.89)

This might just be possible to do.

Few things from the flea market this morning...

http://www.classicplastic.net/digitalpress/DP-Finds-2006-11-07(01).jpg

Atari VCS - Dual Command combination joystick / paddle x2 ($1 each)
PlayStation - Early prototype PlayStation 3 controller. LOL Naa, Alps Interactive controller ($2)

The Dual Command controllers have been there for awhile and I've had my eye on them but they were always with a system - and the last thing I need is another VCS. But they were alone this time and were only a dollar a piece. One of them works great but the other needs the joystick rebuilt as the "fingers" that make contact for directions are all but gone on two sides. Haven't tested the paddles as all my VCS games are boxed up save for a copy of Asteroids.

I've always loved the Alps Interactive PS1 controller and next to the Namco NeGcon it's my favorite third party input device. It screams custom although it's a stock item, best controller for playing Nitrous Oxide with. :)

http://www.classicplastic.net/digitalpress/DP-Finds-2006-11-07(02).jpg

These came today as well, both for my girlfriend. $1 and $10 respectively. She's been wanting a copy of Felix the Cat for awhile and I grabbed a copy of Casino Kid for her since we both use AIM icons that I made from heavily reworking Casino Kid sprites...

I got an email from Amazon this morning saying the PC monitor I had ordered from them 3 weeks ago was going to take an extra 1-2 weeks on top of their estimate of the 16th of November.

So I cancelled the order then went into town and got one with the same specs for Ģ10 more. Simple. I'd rather pay a bit more than wait an extra month for one to come.

19" Widescreen next to my old 15" 4:3.

I realised when I got home that I had only bought it for the Xbox 360 but I think it's definitely worth it.

Some of the best games on the platform and Mario Clash will bring in some good money if you resell it. There's a review of Warioland over at my site (click www button) by FullCircle of these forums. Galactic Pinball, Red Alarm, and Teleroboxer are my favorite games for the system. (well, that and the Japanese V-Tetris)

BIGMIKE: Virtual Pinball for the Genesis is fun and great because you can retain several created pinball layouts. One of my favorite Pinball games.

FantasiaWHT: Is it just me or do VB boxes seem to always be beaten up to some extent whenever you get them from. It's like a law for them to be crushed, folded, deformed art, or some cosmetic problem. Also be sure to post those two PC games over in the Classic Computing (Forum Du Jour) (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=51) find thread. ;)

I went to a company quarterly meeting in another city yesterday and decided to wonder off to a few stores while out there so I wouldn't need to go out that way on Saturday (save gas, time, and money :)).
Gameboy:
Wario Blast
Kirby's Dreamland
Kirby's Dreamland (JPN)
James Bond 007
Bomberman GB
->Each $1 and loose, 3 came with GB cartridge cases.

Saturn:
Soviet Strike (C - $1) Flawless disc, manual a bit warped but that's normal for SAT games without the foam insert. :-/

Gamecube:
Resident Evil Zero (C - $5) Tip top shape, just need to clean disc 1, has some stuff that comes off easily.

I'm amazed one store had Dreamland both US and JPN versions, either a collector dumped the 2 versions off or someone just happened to buy both for an odd reason. I played both and look be the exact same except title screen and cartridge artwork (My god the JPN one is so dull).

FantasiaWHT that is the best virtual boy find i've seen here. Cheap, Boxed (Complete?) And with some of the best VB games..

I paid about $80 for all of my VB stuff (3 systems, 2 stands & eyeshades, 3 controllers, 2 battery packs, one AC adapter tap and 8 games, One of those games being a duplicate) And that is a good deal, But you stole it off of whoever (Or whatever store) You got it from.

Wario World would bring you in $20 and mario clash would bring $35! I think you'd get $150 for all of that if you sold it!

Uggg, I went on a small spending spree today. I went to a store where I was expecting Unreal 2004 to be waiting for me but he had sold it, which is partially my fault because I didn't ask for him to hold it. There wasn't anything in the place I was really looking for but some nifty items. After there I ran to Circuit City and in their bin found:
Gamecube:
Time Splitters: Future Perfect $14 new/sealed
Playstation2:
Space Channel 5 Special Edition $10 new/sealed

Both were new and although I was there for SC5 I've been wanting TS:FP for awhile and that was just too cheap to let go. So I went to a Gamestop afterwards that didn't have crap for me so after that a bunch of friends were off to IHOP for dinner. Several of us decided to hit Walmart to see if any nifty things were there so off we went. Over there a friend found a handful of DVDs in the 2/$11 bin and went nuts but in the game section I saw:
Gamecube:
Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance $15 new/sealed

Just couldn't pass it up! It's the absolute cheapest I've seen and for brand new it was like a steal. After wondering down the isle I went weak and on impulse I became a PS2 owner. I had been thinking for the past few months about finally dipping into getting a PS2 with the new silver slim edition (to match my silver GC 8-) ) and touch the few RPGs I've bought for it the past few months.

So that's it. Although it wasn't a find of classic games it is a new world of gaming opened to me, even if I will in 1 week be a generation behind again. :P

The very first shop I stopped at had a Genesis II with both cables and two controllers. Got it home and tested it...it worked. =)

Oh, did I mention it was $4.99?

Today's finds:

The Sims 2 Holiday Edition CIB (Windows) - $5
Flight Simulator X Deluxe Edition (Windows, SEALED) - $5 O_O (Why'd I get it at that price? The person that sold me that The Sims 2 collection figured it wasn't worth that much... when there were other boxed copies of the regular version with a $40 tag. He didn't see them. Wheee!

The Island of Dr. Weird (CD) - .50
Demon Gate - 666 Levels for Doom & Doom II - .50
Classics Volume One (Dos, contains Jetfighter II, Spectre and Oh No! More Lemmings!) - $1
PS2 Network Adaptor Startup Disc 2.0 - $1

I also found a loose PSX Demo Disc... 1.17, I think. It's really scratched and needs a polishing, but it looks okay.

Soggy day at the flea market, in fact after the heavy rains over the past couple days I was thinking of not going... but damn am I glad I did. No big deal to begin with...

http://www.classicplastic.net/digitalpress/DP-Finds-2006-11-14(01).jpg

PSOne - Power Adapter ($0.50)
GEN - Genesis 3 Power Adapter ($1.00) - same as a Gen 2 AC but the shell is shaped differently as is the plug insulation.

But then... my find of the year, in a small knot of garbage AC adapters, I saw JVC on one of the labels... "probably a camcorder adapter" ...but then... AA-S95J... yes, finally it was...

http://www.classicplastic.net/digitalpress/DP-Finds-2006-11-14(02).jpg

JVC X'Eye - Power Adapter ($1.00)

FINALLY!! No more universal power tap! A real JVC X'Eye adapter to go with my $2 JVC X'Eye from years ago. :eek 2: It was in really rough condition and needed a little work and of course a big cleanup. There are a couple small breaks in the cord insulation but I patched them up no problem. It works great and now my X'Eye is getting the power it was designed for. :D

Pushing forward with my Dreamcast collection and demo disc obsession. These came in the mail from ebay auctions. Zelda Majoras Mask multimedia disc from Target and the San Fransisco Rush Not For Resale disc. Sadly the seller never had the sleeve but that's OK. I never see these on eBay.

My infamy grows. You know how I tend to find the weirdest shit on the flea market, right? (Just ask DreamTR about how I tend to find the weirdest things. :P)

Well...

One vendor had a box filled with folded up envelopes. I peeked out of curiosity and saw that they all contained PC games with their manuals! I thought of buying several games but the guy wanted $3 per envelope... so I only picked up one game.

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j238/foxhack/DP/residentsfreakshow.jpg
The Residents - Freak Show. I bought a DVD with several videos from these guys a while back and really enjoyed it. Several of the videos on that DVD are from this collection. The package had a sticker in front and someone slit a part of it with a razor blade, but is otherwise in mint condition.

A little while before that, I picked up some CDs and a copy of Duke Nukem II on CD. Neat, something for the planned classic computer I want to build in the future. ;) Then I found The Incredible Machine 3.0 for Windows (I now have 1, 2, Even More and Toon, this completes the set, I think!). I picked up more random music CDs, mostly jazzy stuff... then I saw some Dreamcast games, but they seemed damaged so I just left them. That and the vendor wanted $5 per each one.

I kept walking around, and I saw something at a booth... I thought it looked like a PS3 proto pad. You know, the boomerang? Until I looked closer and... it was a wireless pad. I looked around some more and found another one. And then I found the base.

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j238/foxhack/DP/docsdcpads.jpg

I kept looking and grabbed these too!

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j238/foxhack/DP/dclightguns.jpg

And you wanna know what all that cost me? $10! I GOT ALL THAT CRAP FOR $10! I haven't tested them yet (I have to test the guns on a bigger TV, the one in my room doesn't like the DC guns). Other than being quite dirty, everything seems to be in great shape. I bought some AAA batteries to test the pads, and I'll do that later tomorrow. That makes... wow, TEN LIGHTGUNS I've found in two months. Anyway since I found those lightguns I went back to the Dreamcast booth, and picked up...

http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j238/foxhack/DP/games11152006.jpg

The House of the Dead 2 (manual + GDRom) and Sno Cross, complete and in great shape for $7.00.

So, all in all... a GREAT day. :D
