I got the Collecter's Edition for the PS2 and I'm having a blast with it...drifting the canyon is awesome, it feels to me like they wanted to make a game that has Underground & Most Wanted aspects to it, they call it Carbon...so far only 5% complete thru career but it's everything I was looking forward to and a whole lot more :D

I got it as well, I picked up the xbox 360 collectors edition

it looks great, I can't wait to try it

I also got Final Fantasy XII collectors and the limited edition guide
:D

I am at work till 8 am so I won't get to play them for so long, it's all good though.

How's the car customization in this one, any where near as deep as midnight club 3? Also how are the races set up, are they predetermined paths, or open ended like the MC series?

I'm going to pick it up when the price drops and when I finish Need for Speed Most Wanted. 70 something percent done with it.
The game has been getting good reviews.

Well, I bought one yesterday during lunch.. Got home and my wife started playing immediately.. She loves Need for Speed racing games, it's her favorite. We both took turns playing last night for about a hour / hour and a half and IT WAS A BLAST... Drifting in the hills is going to take some getting used to though... I kept falling on the side and having to restart. The gameplay is awesome.. The best part to me is that you still get to run from the Cops...

I hope everyone else who bought it is having a much fun as I am.

Buying an EA game that's on a next-gen console? Doesn't sound so hot to me.

Check out all this content you can get on Marketplace. Oh, and remember, all this content is included on the disc, you're just fuckin' paying to unlock it.

The Collectors Edition Upgrade - 800 Points
Performance Drivetrain Bundle - 400 Points
Performance Engine Boost Bundle - 400 Points
Performance Handling Bundle - 400 Points
Ultimate Performance Bundle - 800 Points
Muscle Car Autosculpt Body Kit - 300 Points
Autosculpt Tuner Body Kit - 300 Points
Autosculpt Exotic Body Kit - 300 Points
1999 Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 - 80 Points
2004 Lamborghini Murcielago - 80 Points
2006 Dodge Viper SRT-10 - 80 Points

Yeah, don't buy shit on Marketplace. Let it die.

Yeah, don't buy shit on Marketplace. Let it die.

According to item descriptions, the items are unlockable through career mode. Buying them via marketplace just eliminates the time investment.

I agree it's stupid, but it's not content exclusive to the marketplace.

Also, the PSP version sucks. Badly, I might add. It feels really generic.

I'm interested in Carbon for the 360, but I'm kinda saddened that it's not like Most Wanted. The structure of that game was perfect. I'd guess the only reason it changed was to introduce that silly 'crew' stuff. Though, Autosculpt does kinda make up for it.

how does the psp version of carbon compare to most wanted, that wasn't horrible in my book, but how would you compare the two?

Y'know, I didn't play MW on the PSP. I meant to, just never got around to it. Though, from what I've seen in reviews, they're fairly similar in gameplay and graphics.

I'm spoiled by the console versions and find it hard to play the scaled-back portables, I guess. I'll still give the PSP version of MW a fair shake, though.

yeah, I had trouble looking or comparing MW with the 360 counterpart, but once I got past that, the game was pretty damn solid, so I am hoping for more of the same here.
