Day 2.
C'mon, you KNOW this one. You've probably played it, if not in the arcade then perhaps on your Saturn! So.
If you've played the game, what are your impressions? How would you compare the home version to the arcade? Do you own a home version of it? Where does it rank among other light gun games? Among other Sega games?

I LOVE this game, I have a demo of the PC version, and I've played both of Virtua Cops in the arcade. Never played any other home versions tho besides the PC Demo I have.
I fuckin LOVE this game, but I often let it slip my mind when listing favorites.
The local arcade here has Virtua Cop 2, That gets a fair share of my quarters when I stroll past it.
All gun games are basically glorified Shooting Gallerys, but the way the enemys move, and the camera pans, and the environments... this is THE ultimate Gun Game.

Virtua Cop is awesome. Sure, the graphics show their age nowadays, but there's no denying the FUN factor. Widely available, inexpensive, fantastic game. What's not to love?
All gun games are basically glorified Shooting Gallerys, but the way the enemys move, and the camera pans, and the environments... this is THE ultimate Gun Game.
I dunno about "ultimate," but it's definitely awesome. :-D You a fan of Confidential Mission? Takes VCop2 to the next level, stellar!

I LOVE Virtua Cop! I have only played the arcade version a couple times so I can't really compare it to the Saturn but I have played this game MANY times on my Saturn. The 2 Virtua Cop games are the best gun games for the Saturn. I think the graphics hold up pretty well, better than House of the Dead and Area 51. Plus the Stunner is a bad ass little gun, way bettre than the crappy Starfire I've got for the Dreamcast.
I thought I read somewhere Virtua Cop 3 may be a future release for XBOX. Any truth to this?

This is the only game that I've ever actually withdrawn money from the ATM to play in the arcade.

I likethe second game more but I love them both.One of my first games for Saturn and with a gun it is a blast.Still trying to find another gun for two player mode... :D :/

Graphically, I found this game mind-blowing when it first came out in arcades. When I finally got the console version, VC2 was out already (I think I got em both the same day). VC2 was so much better I never gave the first one another look. That's usually what happens when I play a sequel to a game before the original.

Itīs a very fun game, i have it in the Saturn and play with the arcade gun and itīs amazing, but there are better games for this sytem, for example, i prefer "Area 51" from Williams, which is more difficult.

Virtua Cop 2 is about the only game I play on the Dreamcast Smash Pack. It's worth it just for that. What a shame that the gun response on the Dreamcast is so bad when playing two player games. Single player is spot on, though.

Similar to other light gun games like Operation: Wolf and Area 51, yet surprisingly innovative thanks to the polygonal graphics. Now here's a game that works, and works really well, in 3D. The computer controls your movement so you never have to worry about getting frustrated with the controls... just keep firing!

i love virtua cop one as well as 2. this time, captian wrong was captain right. Sega IS the king of light gun games.
