I recently got a phillips CD i 602N development system and only know what the websites and DP guide tell about the system. My questions are:

Can it play standard offical CD-i games?
What controller can I use with it?
What can I put in the floppy drive that will play games?
Is there anything nifty I can do with the system?

Any additional info would be very helpful, as I am happy to add this obscure system to my collection. I would also like to play on the dev system if possible.

I don't have one of these myself, but hopefully some of what I know will be helpful...

- Can it play standard offical CD-i games?

I would imagine so. I think you'll still need the digital video cartridge though (or does the 602N have that built-in?).

- What controller can I use with it?

Any CD-i controller should work fine with it.

- What can I put in the floppy drive that will play games?

Good question, and I'm hoping someone can provide an answer to this, as I've always wondered what good the floppy drive was.

- Is there anything nifty I can do with the system?

Aside from playing regular CD-i discs, I doubt it. It has the floppy drive, and I think it has some extra ports on the back that consumer CD-i's don't have, but finding anything that will make use of them is probably more trouble than it's worth.

It's still a pretty neat system though.
