I went to the post office to ship some stuff today, and the clerk didn't want to let me send one of the packages via Global Airmail. The box's size was 12x12x8 - which fits the limit imposed by the USPS (the sum of width, height and length cannot exceed 36 inches, and my package fit in the category).

The clerk said that "Airmail is not for large packages such as this. You have to use Parcel Post." Say wha? The package FITS the size limits set by the USPS. I told him, I checked the rules online. But still, he said that he wouldn't let me ship the item the next time. (I couldn't ship it anyway, the weight was four ounces over 4 pounds.)

What the hell. Who should I contact to complain about his behavior? I normally use large boxes such as that to ship large lots of items to Canada and Europe, and him saying this may in fact prevent me from shipping large packages outside the USA again. :\

Did you try the USPS website? Maybe they have some kind of customer service line or something.

I thought about it, but then I realized - if I report him, he'll know I said something. :\

that whole package is too large, reminds me of the ebay auction, where the guy said he was selling his wifes box since his cock couldn't fit into it. I'm sure most of you guys know it. he had a big description with pics, and then people jumped on, and started asking questions about his wifes box, only for him to reply to most of them with funny answers! LOL

Back on topic..

The postal guy that said your package was too big, maybe he just didn't no? try another post office? just to see if maybe things have changed (Sizes & prices etc) or if the guy was f'in you around?!?

Short of going to San Diego, I have no other choice.

The rules haven't changed. They were still the same as before yesterday evening. So he was full of shit.

... That should be 92231 and 92232. Sorry about that.
