So some of my games are scratched.

What can I do to fix them? SoulCaliber has skipping music, and Soldier of Fortune takes AGES to load. I'm weary of all those things sold in stores that supposedly fix discs and I dunno where to turn. Help? :(

The Memorex Disc Doctor claims to work with Dreamcast games, but I have never personally tested it, nor have I seen it used with one. YMMV. If you're interested, a quick search at a local Wal-Mart (or any other electronics store) should turn up one.

I tried a memorex disc repair product and it RUINED one of my DVDs. There's no way in hell I'll use their crap again. :(

you know a high speed sander with a soft foamy thing on it.

The only local sanding place uses hard sanders. I'm not risking Soldiers of Fortune on that thing. :P

*is scared* ;_;

IIRC, Solder of Fortune takes ages to load regardless. About 2 mins on a scratchless disc for me.

I wouldn't use a disc doctor style device on a dreamcast disc... there isn't a whole lot of error correction in the high density portion of the disc and the wavelength is much smaller (ie smaller groves) and it's a lot easier to screw up then a CD.

Your best bet would probably be one of the wax/polishes made to smooth out scratches. I've had good results from the stuff gamestop sells.

Don't use a disc doctor!!! I bought one awhile back to repair one of my copies of Discworld. F'd it up bad. I would try using the polishes with scratch remover on DC discs.
