Heh..about friggin TIME I had something to post in this thread!

Went out shopping with my buddy Bighab today. We didn't find a whole lot, but I scored:

SMS 3D Glasses in mint condition with adaptor card (one arm broken but otherwise mint - $10 Cdn!

Cannonball Blitz (Vic 20 version?) - $1.99 Cdn

Ax Battler manual (GG) $1.00 Cdn

Bighab also bought an awesome Sega Genesis strategy guide that had TONS of shooters listed for $3.00 Cdn and after much drooling and sobbing on my part, gave it to me :) Weird thing about it....it lists a WHOLE bunch of games that were never released domestically, along with strategies, and it has some weird errors too. It's a US guide, but it has: Zero Wing, Hellfire, Corporation, and Xenon II. Very strange. It also lists Spiderman Vs. the Kingpin as a Genesis game. Weird book but damned cool!

Almost forgot...was in EB and the manager (who's quite nice) was putting out new signage, and gave me a mini-standee for Clock Tower 3...very nice art! :) Yay! Mini-standees kick so much ass!

What's cool is that this is a SPARE pair! I have two sets of em now...one back at home in Oregon in a box that isn't broken at all, but the lenses are a bit scuffed, and now this pair with a broken arm but otherwise mint. I'll probably end up trading one set off eventually. I'm sure duct tape will be fixing these so I can test em! :) I've never actually used a set before...now I have to get a 3D game.....

Ok, went out to a newly opened videogame store, and got the following Genesis Titles all Complete and in Near Mint condition!

-G-Loc $7.99
-Batman Returns $5.99
-Alien 3 $7.99
-Castlevania Bloodlines Hard Case! $7.99
-Gunstar Heroes Hard Case! $5.99!!!!
-Arch Rivals $4.99
-Heavy Nova $2.99!!!
-Whip Rush $4.99

I like it when videogame stores first open up because you can always get a good deal on stuff before the owners catch on to what is worth money. They had some SNES stuff too, but they had that priced alot higher than the Genesis stuff. For instance they wanted $35 for Super Mario RPG Loose, but only wanted $5.99 for the Mint complete Gunstar Heroes that I bought...they must think anything with Mario in the title is worth buckets of cash or something.

Yeah...I picked it up for $20 Cdn a while back...it wasn't particularly amazing, but the bosses are damned cool! :) Also, it seems to have had a VERY low print run, and it IS a Psykio game so who knows what it'll be like to get in the future.... I had a hell of a time finding mine.

Interesting....My copy is by XS Games, and there's no mention of Psykio on the package. I'm waiting to pick another one up so I can open one.

EDIT:
I just remembered that a former acquaintance of mine hooked me up with a Saturn import of Sol Divide a while back, and there's Psykio, right there on the front of the case. Hmmm. I am at a quandary.

Well, went back out to the new videogame store again today and picked up some more Genesis games, all Complete!

-Zombies Ate My Neighbors
-Hard Drivin
-Batman: The Video Game
-Batman Forever
-Captain America and the Avengers
-Side Pocket

Paid about 31$ for those.

And I also stopped by TRU and picked up Paper Mario for $21.98 new.

Thats it for this weekend. I need to curtail my spending (how many times have I told myself that I wonder  )

There's a good reason for that. XS got hte rights to port it to the US. When you boot it up, it says Psykio right on the intro screens. It's much like Renovation for the Genesis...who ported all kinds of Wolfteam and Sega games to hte US market, and then only put Renovation on them, not the original designers' stuff.

Went to EB and had a field day w/ PSX games...

Castlevania Chronicles
Hooters Road Trip
Omega Boost
Worms (the first one... too bad the the inner instructions are missing!)
The Fifth Element
Alone In The Dark: The New Nightmare
Namco Museum Volume 3 (not the GH ones)
Geom Cube
Steel Harbinger
Konami Arcade Classics

$130 for all this which sucks until you add in

Suikoden II

Which I'll E-bay and make a good part of my cash back. I already have a sealed copy I found at Target for a whopping $1.99. I already have 2 of the Castlevanias and they don't go for much, but I bet that will change in the future...

No carts for me this weekend but I did manage to snag up a couple of PC games:

Wing Commander IV (totally complete): $3
Return to Zork (totally complete): $4

Sure, not really collectable per se but still a nice load of 90's computer gaming.
