Just thought I would ask what would be a fair price on this:
MINT in Very, very nice box - Neo Geo AES, modded with A/V, stereo, debug, s-video, etc - you know, the typical mods.
HOW MUCH SHOULD THIS COST, IN REALITY??
Thanks,
Steve

LOL
If you want a Neo Geo system complete and totally mint, in other words new or like new condition, it's gonna cost you. How much exactly, I don't know, but a lot more than a boxed used one.

eleventy billion dollars!!!
Actually, best source I got is the Video Game Bible, and it's saying 250 with a rarity of 5. For some reason, these number seems pretty low, especially when in the book it states that the gold system (including two sticks and a cart) sold for 700 at its debut. I know I couldn't get one for that, at least in this country. But I wouldn't consider collecting for it unless I hit the lotto, or was smoking crack rocks.

I have a dumb question here... If a system has a Mod, can it still be considered "Mint", since it's been altered, and not quite "just like new"?

If it is a well done mod on a JP system as they usaully are then I would put it around the $400 mark. If it's a US system then maybe up to $450. Personally I don't think I would pay more than $350 but market value puts them in the $400 range pretty easily, sometimes more in box. Good luck!
