I had one of these that I traded many years ago. What a foolish move on my part that was. I could have sold it to pay for my new car. Funny thing is, I think all I got was a sega genesis for it

That is horrible (are you kidding?) !! If that is true, whoever traded you the genesis has no conscience whatsoever.

Good luck finding one here on digitpress let alone one for sale. It can happen so dont give up hopes. I agree though it will be at least 10k if you are lucky.

I seen one on ebay not too long ago. I think the starting price was $2-2500, no bids, one or less days to go, no reserve, for a grey cart. I would suspect if you find another on ebay, you can pick it up for less than $4500.

Willing to pay $2k for one with a slightly scuzzy label? If so, get in touch with this guy:

I would personally take one in any condition, but hey, it's a lot of money, I guess you can demand perfection.
$1500 for mint? Beggars can't be choosers. You don't seem like you're really prepared to buy such a cartridge. Wait until you start collecting video games and get a hang of it. Then go for the big stuff.

i think he meant that he would only want to give $1500 for the one with the crummy label.

yeah, $1500 is way cheap for a minty grey, $1500-$2000 is about right for a good label w/ some browning grey.
btw I'll probably relist my Gold cart this holiday season or jan, and see if I can break 13k.

No, sorry i ment i would only pay like $1500 for the browned label one. For a mint Cart i would pay in the $2,000-$2,750 range

Some of you guys are pretty picky for a cart as rare as this. That label is in decent shape, I don't think I'd pay an extra grand for a mint label, just having it would be good enough for me. Actually, just having $2000 in disposable income that I could freely spend on video games would be good enough for me. Oh yeah, and good luck searching for that cart, I hope you get one!

Yeah, i do seem picky for such a rare item .Its doesent have to be in perfect shape, few spots or lil scratch here wont kill me. just didnt want one with brown around the whole label.

The one thats been for sale on Ebay is actually in pretty good condition judging by the picture. Sure, some brown on the edges, but not alot. Isnt it too much to pay ~$1000 extra just to get a better label?

No one complains about the condition of a gold NWC. I have a "mint" one that is not worth more than a scratched one IMO.
Finding a mint gray NWC is tough anyone, $2700 sounds ok now, but you never know with XMAS coming up.
udisi: I'm not relisting that 2nd gold I was selling for someone either, he has decided to keep the cart.

When it comes to rarities like this, the "beggars can't be choosers" motto is absolutely correct.
As you progress and collect (any system), you will discover how very difficult it is to "simply" get some retail cartridges, let alone something as unique as this. Come back after collecting for awhile and you will find yourself easily snatching up the cart for $2000....even with a label *worse* than the one previously listed. This is as serious as a game cartridge collectable gets...not like you are going to grab it any time you wish....if ever. Good luck.
And BTW, if you ARE serious, you might as well get it right now...$300 MORE than previously listed:
