Six Atari titles have been announced for the downloadable games service, and each will come with classic and "evolved" versions, in addition to standard features like leaderboards and achievements. The half-dozen games set to release include Centipede/Millipede, Battlezone (with new multiplayer modes and Xbox Vision camera support), Asteroids/Asteroids Deluxe, Missile Command, Tempest, and Warlords (which lets gamers import pictures for their castles). No prices were announced for the games, although older arcade games on the Marketplace have generally been priced at 400 Microsoft Points ($5).

Tempest Centi/Millipede and Missile Command are gonna be a bitch to play without the dial or trackball.

I always said Warlords would be a badassed online multiplayer game. And I hope Atari can prove me right. Hopefully - they'll make it with minimal lag.

The Vision support for BZ has me curious...

I think that setting up the stick like a dial would be cool for Tempest. I could get into that.

Centipede and Millipede though, I dunno. At least they're bringing more classics out.

On the Warlords tip, I just wanted to throw in that Castle Crisis, the Warlords arcade port for Atari 8-bit comps is friggen' fantastic multiplayer. I wonder- is it Atari 2600 style warlords or arcade Warlords or both? And, control options without a paddle will be critical. That will be one to try out.

Well...Centipede played fine on the 2600 without a trackball...I suspect this won't be much more difficult

Thats a pretty sweet deal. I'm all for more old games on new systems. Especially with the scoreboards that are on live.
