Ok, I had my Dreamcast modded REAL early after it's release. I was depserate for a few imports. Problem is, the system wont play a chunck of the later released games. Of course, since those early days there are swap discs and I have one of those. I want to get rid of the mod now, but I don't know if I can. My console has 2 switches coming out of the sides now that are connected to 2 different loactions inside. Any ideas or am I screwed? :(

Option 1: Cut power to the chip.
Option 2: De-solder the chip.

If everything fails, just get a new DC for $40 or less. Then, if you want to play your imports, use a boot loader instead of modding it. The boot loader will allow any DC to play any region disc.

Unless you know someone who's very good at taking modchips out, then your dreamcast is saved. If you don't,then i'd say,buy a new dreamcast.Don't give up on your dreamcast.maybe you can get it fixed somehow.
