Man i feel sorry for people who have to work there, they have got some really boring jobs, that probably physically wear them out completely every day. That a horrible job pushing boxes on a conveyor belt into groups of two, or putting endless remotes in plastic cases, i bet they get paid peanuts for it too.

They probably get paid relatively well. Of course I'm assuming they have no education and therefore the appropriateness of their pay reflects that.

Working on an assembly band can wear you down indeed, but i assume they do different tasks for variation. The people who pack controllers dont do it 8 hours each day, 5 times a week. We can be glad someone does this job or else we couldnt go out and buy stuff like today :) Someone has to do it.

Working on the assembly line is really not too terrible for many people. I used to manage at Dell computers many years ago and would chat with quite a few of the line workers. I have found that they are quite happy to be working an honest job and treat the job much like we treat all of our jobs.

The pay was quite a bit more than minimal but still relatively low given the cost of living. The people often entertain themselves with light talking and the spirit of working together really brings many people to become good friends.

All in all, I have to say from my experience the job is just another job, some love/like it, others just tolerate it, but it is not for everyone.

Wow I can see that you think your better then them by that assumption. Way to be kind to your fellow man. Last time I checked they were still people and you don't know them so who are you to judge. Just because I went to college, got a good paying job doesn't make me think I am better than them. It's just the cards I was dealt.

Wow.. I work Retail and while I hate it, I'm glad I have variet in my daily routine. Still.. I need to get out of Retail. I wonder how much that job starts at.

I really wish I had taken that job offer from Nintendo as a delivery person in 1998. Next time the Rep comes in I am going to ask her what her job is like. I'd love to work for Nintendo. (As long as they don't have stupid rules like their employees can't own other consoles. I ain't giving up my Xbox 360. Not even for Miyamoto. ;))

I've worked assembly line before. It's not so bad... it takes the right kind of person; some people would go nuts sitting there doing that all day, but some people can just space out and daydream and keep working at the same time. Just go with the flow, you know.
