Anyone picked this up yet? I'm still hung up on GoW to get this right now, but I'm debating if i want it or not in the near future.
It still looks too "kiddy" to me. I'd like to hear some opinions before I make a purchase. I still don't even know what this game is supposed to be about.

I tried this game about a month ago at some electronic show. This is my 5 min. experience: You move a shovel around in some garden. You have to smash the grass for some reason, i think it was to clear way so you can grow stuff there. After a while one of these pinata creatures walked into my garden.
The guy who worked at the MS stand said the goal was to make the garden as beautiful as possible so the pinatas would prefer your garden over the others, atleast thats the way i understood it. A very colorful and nice game, but i doubt i would buy it if i owned a 360. It has the kiddie image, but im sure everyone can enjoy it. The online support also makes it cooler :)

this is a Rareware game, there is no such thing as kiddy game, there are good games and there are bad games, whats wrong with people?
the same thing I hear about Nintendo games from some people, that they are think N games are for kids - those probably arent real gamers.
from what I've heard so far, game is amazing!
I'm gonna pick this up!

Thje only reason I say "kiddy" - I'm 33.
It could be fun, but it looks like something I'd buy my nephews, and I wouldn't get much use out of. But I'm willing to give anything a go. It's just not often I buy an "E" rated game. Especially one with an animated kids show to back it up.
I just want to hear some opinions before I make a concrete decision.

Yep, im sure if most people would just see the box they would think its a game for kids. "Cartoon" style game, alot of colors, E rating. Many think something negative when kiddie is mentioned, dont know why. Maybe child friendly is a better description for it. The E rating does mean everyone, but im sure this game will be more popular for the younger audience. Nothing wrong with that of course.

I assumed this game was released this week beacuse it would appeal to a different audience than Gears of War and thus both games would sell well...
I'm waiting to hear some feedback before buying it...maybe a preowned copy in a couple months after the first price drop.
Later,

Maybe you should try renting it then.

I picked this up over the weekend and it was promptly taken away from me from the wife. From the few minutes I played, it's a sugary harvestmoon/animal crossing sort of game. So far she's started her garden, got some animals (pinatas?) to move in, had a bunch of worms do the bump and grind, and plant some flowers/trees. Looked pretty fun.
