Also IGN has reported that the PS3 definitely has a regional lockout on both PS1 and PS2 games and that there are no graphical upgrades whatsoever for PS1/PS2 games.

Is it just me, or does the PS3 have very few air vents? Or maybe because it's all black, it's hard to seem them. Pretty amazing that the PS3 doesn't overheat, considering it doesn't appear to have tons of air vents, and the Power Supply is internal.

Looks like the Wii should sit quite nicely underneath a Dreamcast.

Actually it does have quite a few vent holes. Check these pics :)

It looks to be roughly the same size as the 360 HD-DVD drive. Maybe thinner.

I gotta agree with some earlier posts in that I didnt realize the Wii was THAT small. Id go so far as to say its cute in a way :) I dont know about anyone else, but I like the all black PS3. The chrome on the front drive just sits oddly with me and yet, thats the one that comes with the 60GB version :(

You guys remember the negative response to the PSP's gloss? Yeah, this kinda reminds me of that.

Actually the latest news says that unless Wi-Fi is an absolute priority, it's better to go with the 20 gig version. Primary reason is that you can swap that 20 gig drive with any 2.5 HDD. So you can add a 120 gig whenever you want, so the hard drive difference is pretty meaningless. The memory card slot things have always been meaningless.

Last I heard, you couldn't swap the hard drive. It had to be done by a Sony tech.

You can use any 2,5" HDD for it, which is great :)

No, i cant remember seeing any negative respons on the PSP and DS Lite gloss. Did people really complain about this too? That is crazy lol, there isnt one thing people dont complain about. Im sure if all games dropped $10 someone would complaint too. Kinda sick actually.
I've read that the gloss on PS3 cant be captured on camera. Its some sort of transparent stuff or something, i read about it an article not long ago, but i cant find it again :\

Someone has already got a 3.5" HDD working on it. That's such a cool PS3 logo!8-)

So thats why the PS3 is so quiet. Instead of using a small fan to save space the use a huge fan which can give the same amount of cooling as a small fan, but it doesnt have to do the same amount of RPM. Smart :)

Actually, there's even a section in the manual about how to remove/install hard drives. Check it out (http://www.joystiq.com/2006/11/11/ps3-manual-details-hdd-battery-replacement/).
I wish the 360 let you just swap in any hard drive you wanted like that.

I see an external hard drive enclosure specifically designed for PS3 use by New Year's. Hell, with the right parts you can make a nice DIY unit for yourself.
Given Sony's stance against modification I'm very surprised that they would include instructions for hard drive replacement right in the manual. Modders are going to have a field day with the PS3.

if my memory serves me , the ps3 has an internal psu. 360 has external as well as the the 360 having a external hdd. so those are all contributing to the size.
the chome on ps3... wonder where they got that idea LOL the 360 imo is the sexiest of the three.

Well it does have a PS1 and a PS2 built into it. @_@
Then how do you explain all the incompatibility problems? :)
It is in fact not a problem as such with the PS3 as it is with
the slimline chipset they use, a lot of the incompatibilties are
carried over from the latest slim line revision's.
