elder scrolls: arena CD under XP

maybe i'm asking for the impossable here but can anyone give me some instructions on getting elder scrolls arena the CD version to run under XP? i know there is a free downloadable version of the disk based version and i got that to run with some limited success. i could probibly get it to run fine with some tuning but i already own the CD version and i kinda wanted the extra enhancments even if they were small. everything i try runs into failure mostly in the terms of wierd memory problem messages. i have xp on my computers. one comp i have runs win98 but for some reason i can't get it out of 16 color mode (which prevents me from trying anything with arena on it)

i can use dosbox but i'm not real savy with it. i've had alot more success with dosbox since downloading the D-fend app for it which makes seems ALOT easier.

anyone have any advice?

DOSbox is your only bet for Arena, and it's going to come at a bit of a speed loss. Frankly, you're far better off setting up a Win98 partition and just using that for Beth games.
