First off, the two biggies, DK and DK Jr. are off. Why? This is for an art project. (deals with Semiotics and viewer expectations and all that other $10 word stuff you don't care about)

The qualifications:
Nothing past 84, pre crash.
Home games are OK.
This is gorillas. Not Baboons, monkeys, or chimps.
Don't be a smart-ass and list Crazy Kong!

Arcade:
The Gorilla from Fantasy
Congo Bongo
Sky Skipper (so there's a still a Gorilla from Nintendo)
Crazy Climber
The Boxing Gorilla from Kangaroo

Home:
The Gorilla from CV Tarzan
Don't know if I want to add Tigervision's King Kong to the list.

I think I've got all the Arcade Gorillas, but if you guys/gals can think of some Home system gorillas, I'd appreciate that.

In Amidar (1981) you are a Gorilla. There are also Gorillas in Crossbow (1983). You control a Gorilla in the Intellivision game The Electric Company Math Fun (1979).

Amidar! Damn! I knew I forgot one!

I think I have the Electric Company game.

When did that game that was called "Gorilla" come out?

Im talking about the one where each of the players is a gorilla on top of a building that throws explosive bananas at the other. You have to figure out wind, angle and other things.

I used to love it.

Weren't there gorillas in Gilligan's Island and perhaps Bad Street Brawler for the NES?

Darn, you already took care of what people confuse the DK in my Username for. LoL, convenient initials for a gamer like me.

Good pickup and to think I saw another thread making reference to the game a few minutes after my original reply. Of course, that means you can also count the sequel, "Thrilla's Safari" isn't it? The gorilla was the star in that one. Whatever happened to the wolf you could also select in the first game? I guess he went the way of Alex Winter (Bill from Bill and Ted) and faded into a painful retirement.
