I heard it was rumored for the 360 as well, but haven't been able to confirm it.

Been looking forward to this for a while. The pack is worth it for King of Dragons, Knights of the Round and Varth alone, but most of the other games on there are great games as well. Good stuff.
Here's hoping for Saturday Night Slam Masters and Progear on volume 3.

I am buying this just for Magic Sword.... is that so wrong? And 1941 had goddamn well better have tate mode! ...bah, who am I kidding... :(
It's too bad they couldn't do the licensed stuff- Willow, UN Squadron... speaking of UN Squadron, they could have at least put Carrier Airwing on there.
I must say I'm a little reluctant to buy this.

Been looking forward to this baby ever since it was announced. I've only played a handful of those games, so I'm excited to play the games I haven't played as well. Hello Side Arms. 8-)
I'll be picking up my copy on Friday after all the PS3 crap is done and overwith. This way I won't get trampled.

Yeah I saw that, I don't know if it's true either. Would be sweet if it is!

Wow, nice game list. Many of the beat-em-ups. Dunno why another Street Fighter 2 had to be included but if the orginial SF is on there, it's worth it.
STREET FIGHTER 1 is SO FRUSTRATING!!!
I got to play it for the very first time, and Sagat is kicking my ass every time.

The game does indeed reek of suckage. Mike (Balrog) only needs to hit you three times and it's match over. Lame. And I love how the AI just "magically teleports" at times. That's just great. Still, I have to say that even though the game is sucky, it's nice to have it on there for completists sake or whatever I'm trying to say.
I freaking LOVE 3 Wonders, Eco Fighters, 1941, Varth, Captin Commando, and many other games on this disc. Please bring out a vol. 3 sometime in '07, Capcom.

This one was NEEDED.
Super Street Fighter II Turbo never saw an arcade perfect port. The fighting game community still plays this game TO THIS DAY. So expect to see the tournament scene being more lively with ST in 2007. :)
The producer for CCC2 even added an excellent set of tutorial vids for those who are serious about learning the game.
BTW, Capcom quiz was pretty neat. ;)

i hope everyone on dp buys a copy of this, because i desperately want a vol. 3 to be published next year (or sooner) with the few remaining unliscensed beat 'em ups on it. we need to show capcom not everyone with a taste of oldschool uses MAME.

It almost feels like they ramped up the difficulty on Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo. I know I'm not out of practice.....it just seems like they only lowered the amount of damage dished out on easier modes.

Has anyone even seen the Xbox version for sale? The EB/Gamestop website shows it as a preorder that still hasn't come in yet. I really want this game for Xbox...

I've seen the Xbox version at Fry's Electronics and Game Crazy stores.

I grabbed this for the Xbox a couple of weeks back.
It seems that Capcom picked more obscure games for Vol. 2., with Strider and Super Street Fighter II Turbo being the only major standouts (not saying they're the only good games, just that they have the highest profile).
The games on this volume are fun, but I don't know how many of them are "true classics" (I guess that's a very subjective designation though). I personally think CCC Vol. 1 is much better than 2, but that's just me. In any case, I'd say this is worth getting. At basically a buck a game, you can't go wrong.

You might want to check other stores. EB/Gamestop didn't order very many copies of the game (like 1 or 2 per store).

I agree with you about name recognition, but it's a very solid collection. It's cool to have some of the more obscure games like Speed Rumbler (one of my favorites from when I was a kid). Plus, with the game save feature, I might actually play through games like Magic Sword.

Got this a couple days after it came out and have been enjoying the hell out of it ever since. Can't say I'm crazy about Quiz & Dragons (I thought Capcom Quiz was better, but that's just a question thing) or The Speed Rumbler (feels like Konami's Jackal, but without the fun - although I plan to stick with it a bit more and really give it a chance), both I've which I had never played previously. I'm not really liking SF or SSF2T either (both of which I have played before), but that's just because I've never been a fighting game fan (and because the original SF really sucks).
On a slightly different note, I'm not crazy about the port of Strider. Half of the music is missing (and has been replaced by stage 1's "Raid" theme) and there's a few minor graphic glitches I've noticed here and there. I'll still play it, but if I really want to experience Strider the way it should be, I'll play the PS1 port that was packaged in with Strider 2.
Of course, the only downside to that is the load times. *sigh* Can't win 'em all, I guess.
Aside from all of that, the rest of the games are great - several of which I'd been looking forward to getting for a long time. I think it's a great companion to Vol. 1.
On a side note: anyone familiar with the Strider website The Light Sword Cypher Mainframe? The webmaster, Sam Roberts (good guy - I've known him for quite some time now), got his name in the credits for providing Capcom with some little known Strider trivia and some high score tips. That sounds strange, but it's true. He was also credited in the first PSP collection for the same thing.

I'm a pretty big SF fan, and I think the first game sucks. I played it for about 10 minutes and probably will never do so again. They did a lot better job with SSF2T - no loading times during the game.
I was playing through Captian Commando the other night, and was kind of surprised how violent it was. The ninja character chops people in half, complete with blood spurt.

I finally picked it up for Xbox last night. I prefer the Xbox controller or my Pelican stick to the Dual Shock, so this made my weekend.
