Oh yeah... THAT isn't going to work anymore. The online guide is tied into the phpBB login system which has been disabled. I know that sucks and someday perhaps we'll tie them back together but for now I'll need to remove the personal collection lists from the online guide. Sorry for the confusion.

UGH... well I sure hope they come back eventually... having those lists really helped me to keep up with what I have and what I don't have... as well as what I want... plus it was nice to be able to "display" my collection here...

Can you raise the limit for avatar pics to 20 kb flat out? I have an avatar that is 19.7 kb. Why does it have to be 19.5? That is such an arbitrary number.


19.5KB isn't arbitrary at all. That is exactly 20,000 bytes.

I nudged it up a bit to an even 20KB though...just for you.

The 'move' command in the Room of Doom doesn't work.
Comes up with:

The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request.
The script had an error or it did not produce any output. If there was an error, you should be able to see it in the error log.

I have no idea. I haven't worked on the RoD at all.

Do you have Javascript enabled?

When I click on a user, I get a nifty drop down menu that will allow me to send a PM from there.

Yes, I do, the menu didn't seem to show up at first. I clicked on your name and tried it, and it worked... so it must be some browser thing.

I use Firefox 2. Those kinds of menus (click on a link) don't seem to work sometimes, and instead the link takes me to the user's profile.

Regarding the 10,000 character limit, it may be a problem with posts, too. I have a sale thread at AtariAge and saved it to a text file for crossposting here, and my text editor said I broke 12,000 characters (between markup and the amount of items listed).

Yep, I can't make a post. My sale thread is 15,000 characters in total, even after removing all markup and link code. 10,000 characters is too little space for really long sale threads.

Is it possible to still have animated GIF files as avatars? I've uploaded mine, but the avatar that appears is static and looks JPG-ized.

Answered my own question. Looks like if the image exceeds either the 125x125 limit or the 20K limit, the top frame is snapped as an image and that's the avatar. I've cropped the image now and verified the file size, so it's working.

I can see it just fine as well. Perhaps your old avatar is stuck in your browser cache?

Why do smilies count towards the ten picture limit per post?

Also, previously, both :P and :p (lowercase p) would activate the smiley, but now only one does.
