Nintendo has a USB Wi-Fi dongle for the DS...I'm not sure, but it MAY work with the Wii.

it works with the USB dongle. As a matter of fact, i was thinking about hardwiring all of my other console internet connections and just using the USB dongle for the DS and Wii.

You should be able to pick one up for about 40.00$ bucks or so. nintendo has gone to great lengths to make sure everyone will be able to get online with the wii.

Hey,Niku, what Belkin hardware are you using? I use a Belkin Wireless G router, and I have strict security set up, and I can still access with my Wii. If you're using similar technology maybe I can help you out.

i was using a PCI card set up as an access point, with wep, wpa and no security and it would not see it but once and that one time it would not connect. my PocketPC would connect to it just fine but the wii, not so much. its possible what ever is in the non supported list at nintendo.com (the routers) mabe theres a similar thing in the hardware of this PCI card.

what makes me wonder is why doesnt it want to connect? like whats the issue?

I'm not entirely sure. I know I used to have problems getting my PCI Wireless card (also a Belkin) to act correctly as an access point when my roomate was trying to connection share with his laptop, which is why I ended up picking up the router. I think I only paid $10 for it. It's the Belkin Wireless G model. If you ever see one for cheap, I really can't reccomend it enough.
