I had posted about this a while back when I was first contacted by the Dallas Morning News with a request to come talk to me about my collection. After a very busy few days of setting up a proper room of doom, they came out and shot some video of me and my collection. The reporter talked to me for about 20 minutes about some general gaming topics and then shot footage of me playing some of my stuff as well as just stills of parts of my collection. Here is the final result.

I wish more of my collection had been shown. They cut out all of my boxed stuff and pretty much all of my rarities, but I can understand that as this was really done for a more mainstream audience. Still, it was a very fun experience and I'm happy with the way it turned out!

Cool interview. I loved seeing the games in the background. Someday I'll have a nice complete NES game collection in my cabinets :)

The arcades have died because YOU took all their games and put them in your Room of Doom. ;) Outstanding! Awesome interview, game ON Brutha. :)

And I agree 100% when you said that arcade gaming has pretty much died :bawling:

Thanks guys! I'm glad to know that everybody likes my setup and that I'm not doing gamers a disservice by being somewhat of a 'spokesmodel'!! ;-)

The whole experience was a lot of fun and I'm really glad that the reporter put together a positive story about gamers. I wish there was more of that going on in the mainstream media. But I'll do what I can when the opportunity comes up!
