I was having a chat with a mate tonight about interesting things to do with his GC. I suggested that chipping it would be better than using the streaming method, but I don't know anything really about the matter.

Anyway what's the N64, SNES and NES emulation like for the GC? Is it possible to put emulators on a disk with the game files, or do things need to be streamed via a BBA?

take a look here: http://modthatcube.pxn-os.com/main.htm they have alot of information, there's several ways to softmod the cube and burn the stuff you want to a mini DVD, or you can mod a memory card to add an SD card slot (or buy an official one with an SD card slot) and using that an an action replay you can run emulators and such. It really seems like the easiest console to mod, I'm surprised I haven't actually done it yet

Easiest console to mod?

...

No.

i said it seems like it, adding that presence of doubt counters my mistake, although the softmod did look easy enough for me to actually consider doing it

TBH, I reckon I'll just put a Qoob SX in there or something. Looks quite simple, compared to Xbox or PS2.

But I just need to know if it's worth if first. Is the N64 emulation bang-on? What about SNES?

from what i've read the N64 emulation isn't very good at all, but the SNES emulation should be pretty good, there is a port of SNES9X for GC that apparently works quite well
