I can't believe I finally found a factory sealed copy of this on ebay... and for only $50 too... I didn't think that I'd ever find a factory sealed one for sale...
yeah, Panzer Dragoon in space, without any dragons... this has to be worth owning... seems to be pretty rare too... even used copies are hard to find...

Congrats! I had a hard time finding this game as well. Took me months. It plays a bit like Panzer Dragoon like you said (or better yet, Sky Target) but the damn thing is HARD. I can't make it past the third level to save my life.
A few years ago I made it my mission to get every single shooter for the Saturn... 2-D traditionals like Radiant Silvergun, pseudo 3-D games like Space Harrier (and G-Vector), full 3-D games Wing Arms, Mech shooters like Gun Griffon, FPS's like Powerslave, old arcade shooters like Space Invaders, and various games that didn't quite belong in any of the categories above such as Metal Slug. Here's the compiled list if you are interested. I just realized I never compiled a list of the gun games for the Saturn. I need to get on that.

yeah, I dunno why it's so hard to find this one... and then when you finally do find it, it's cheap! I'm glad it is, but you'd think it would be expensive...
I'm hoping to get Stellar Assault next, but that one is real expensive... and even harder to find... I know where to get it, but I still can't afford it yet...
BTW, thanks for the list... I have all the US released SHMUPS, but I'm still working on getting all the JP released SHUMPS... still a long way left to go...
I think there's something like 60 JP releases, and I'm not quite up to 20 yet... I have most of the ones I want the worst, except the real expensive ones...
cool. i just heard of this game some time a few weeks ago. it looks really cool to me. i've seen a video of the gameplay on youtube or google. I want to have one one day. $50 for a sealed one is incredible.

I found that video on youtube...

It's a mixture of several different shooters... lots of Panzer Dragoon (without the ability to move the camera around), Thunderblade, Sky Target, and lots of others. Cool game... just too frickin hard.

COOL... looks awesome... I can hardly wait till it gets here, so I can try it out...
what's really weird is the seller that I bought my new copy from also had a used copy for sale, and he wanted $25 for it... but Play Asia wants $50 for a used copy... so I guess I just lucked out when I jumped on it... I think I saw it shortly after it was posted... maybe the price was a mistake, and I just managed to buy it before the seller had a chance to correct it... I dunno

OMG... no kidding about it being hard... I can't even make it past the first level boss yet... but it's sooo coool... definitely worth the money, IMO...

Some sellers actually like to give a fair price. I bought a sealed copy of Alien vs Predator for the Atari Jaguar on Ebay awhile back, for $30 shipped using a BIN, when by all rights it should be significantly higher. I think a lot of it has to do with how much someone originally paid for said game, too. If I invest under $10 in some game that goes for a good price then I can live with letting it go for below market value, depending on the circumstances. In the case of that seller I dealt with, he said he got several sealed copies of AVP dirt cheap ($5 or less) because someone who had a box of copies believed the game was obsolete since a couple versions had been done for the PC. Unless of course that was a story to cover up for him not bothering to check the going rate for the game and he listed it low without checking completed auctions :)

well I finally made it past the first level boss, but this is clearly a game of memorizing patterns... even with the 9 continue cheat enabled, I still wasn't able to make it past the second level boss after defeating the first level boss without using a continue... what I need is some GameShark codes to defeat this beast... if the bosses get progessivly harder, I'll never beat it otherwise

Nice list Fishy, but you're missing Shippu Mahou Daisakusen (of course, it's romanized differently in certain places) and Elevator Action Returns! EAR seems to get better marks from folks than the Mahou Daisakusen games from people (I like both though).
Out of that list, I most want Batsugun and Metal Black (for good measure) at the moment.

It's listed under Kingdom Grand Prix... found it on the front & spine.
Batsugun is AWESOME, one of my all-time favorite Saturn shooters along with Battle Garegga and Sonic Wings.

so is it hard to find?
Dame! I had two sealed copies and opened one to play and subsequently gave it to a friend keeping the sealed copy myself... :(

congrats. I had it for a brief period, but ended up selling it because I just couldn't get into it. If you like G-Vector, check out Night Striker S on Saturn too. Both are similar games IIRC
