What's the difference between the US and World versions of alot of the later roms sets out there (mostly Capcom or Konami games)?

Only difference is that the "World" versions were designed for USA, EURO, ASIA, and JAP Country releases. While, as you may guess, the USA versions only meant for the USA. For a company to get a World license was a great thing, because code didn't have to be modified to release it in other regions. Yah know, how you sometimes play a Mame game that says "Forbidden outside Japan" and such. Well, world versions weren't forbidden anywhere :)
