I hope this will come through. I'm not planning on buying the handheld, i don't really like most of the games that are on it. Although lately there have been a few games i'm interested in (crisis core looks great :o).

update:
this game has been reported as being rushed to meet launch date also there are LOTS of new gameplay vids at youtube but the overall gameplay looks clunky so far , kinda like a wannabe RE4 but with strange animation on the main character.
Im would rather this game be canned then be released half-assed.

Now that blows chunks. Which kind of explains WHY they may consider porting this to PS2...(director's cut, anyone?)

Damn...a ps2 version coming? I was sure this was going to be my third PSP game I've bought since launch. I know for sure that Metal Gear Portable OPS will be my second. FINALLY! Something to play since Lumines!
I've been anticipating this one, but a port to PS2 could mean possible improvements and a much more enjoyable experience. I might have to wait this one out.

Wow....
Watch that gameplay video and look at the house thats straight ahead after he kills that zombie in the alley. Watch that thing just move off the lower half as the player rotates the camera. It then does the same thing to the garage behind and to the right of that house when the character gets closer to that. Thats some bad bad bad graphics glitching there.

I noticed that too most likely this is a very early demo BUT like ive stated before the developer is supposedly being rushed to finish the game and get it out the door so who knows if this game could be released all buggy or not.
Add me to one those that would prefer a PS2 port this game would benefit greatly with the PS2 hardware and especially the gameplay with real dual analog control etc.

I'll take what I can get since I own a couple PSP's and love the horror genre, now a dedicated Resident Evil would sure help boot the system, I wont hold my breath....................
Whats with the top half of the screen not lining up with the bottom half? Was annoying the crap out of me, as was the animation the enimy screams the crapy fog etc. etc. etc.

God I hope so. I've been wanting to sell my PSP for a long time but the girlfriend won't let me because of Silent Hill Origins.

Damn...just checked out the video. Those houses splitting in half are such a crazy sanity effect. Ugh...zombie's look fucken retarded. Nowhere near as disturbing as anything in the other game. They sound like douches when screaming too.

:(
I have to say, that was very disappointing. It might not turn out to be a bad game necessarily, but it somehow appears to be missing that special, disturbing beauty the previous Silent Hill games possessed. The main character looks completely out of place, the enemies look too generic, and overall the game seems too "clean" and "normal" for a Silent Hill title. Of course, it's still in the development phase, so hopefully they'll manage to add a little more atmosphere to the game before it's released...
