It's a tough decision.
If it was me, I would buy a SNES.

Well, if I were you, first I'd buy the cords necessary for playing the Genesis and Saturn and a controller for the N64. Then I'd buy a Dreamcast. The Dreamcast is probably my favorite system, though actually the SNES is is my second favorite. Get them both.

Do you have any experience with the SNES or Dreacast?

I'd get the necessary stuff for the Genesis, Saturn, and N64. Then get the SNES. I like my DC, but the SNES is a lot easier to collect games for.

Get the DC ASAP! Hit the import seen as deep as your pockets will go!
Ikruga, Border Down, "UNDER DEFEAT", Super Puzzle Fighter, Super Street Fighter 2 X, Mark of the Wolves, Mars matrix and butt load of other arcade ass kick'n games. Then head after a set of DC/PS2 adapters and head over to EB Games, their blowing out L.E. Tekkin 5 arcade sticks for 29.95 each.
and if that aien't enough? hit the emulation DC stuff.
Game on

Depends on your vibe... you want older school games? Get the SNES now, the games are cheaper now than ever. Both are great systems, but the SNES is in a class by itself IMO

I vote for SNES.
Alot of the good titles from DC can be bought on other systems to tide you over untill you get the DC some other day.

I will send you a brand new N64 controller for free if you'll pay for shipping. Drop me a PM. I also may have a Dreamcast for sale as well.

Dreamcast
although the Sega Saturn is my favorite retro-cd-based system, its a 2-D gamers wet dream.

Why dont you buy the system that has the games you want to play? Simple enough.

I'm going to recommend neither. You have three systems currently that you can't experience due to missing items. Why not complete those first so you can play them?

I would get a Dreamcast, then you can even play SNES games on it via emulation.
I'd go for the SNES, but the Dreamcast is a fantastic console too and should be a future pick up.

I also suggest completing the other consules that are missing things so you may be able to play them and get games for those. If you had to choose between getting a DC or SNES though an SNES is a good choice because it's a tad bit cheaper per game and there's more games for it floating around in the wild while. The DC is harder to come by but has some really great games, not nearly as many though as the SNES. If you're all about complete games then the DC is for you since most SNES games are sold loose. It's all up to how you feel though.

Don't quote me on this, but I do believe that some of the DC cords work with the saturn and if that is the case you will be killing two birds with one stone.

It's a tough question, the Dreamcast has amazing titles but they'll be a little more pricy (and hard to find) than SNES games. On another hand, if you get a SNES and convert it to play Super Famicom games, there are hundreds of excellent japanese games out there, and a lot of them cheap.
But I agree with other posts, get your Genesis, N64 and especially your Saturn up and running first.

Get the cords and get the other stuff running. than get a dreamcast. The super nintendo is a good system but very overrated.

Get the cords for the saturn and genesis, Then get a controller for N64. And then get the SNES, But stay away from yellowed SNES systems.
And get these games with the SNES, They're all fun and all easy to acquire:
Goof Troop
Donkey Kong Country (Never played 2 or 3 so I can't tell you about those)
Indiana Jones' Greatest Adventures
Super Mario All Stars
Super Mario World
Zombies Ate My Neighbors

SNES is my favorite system, but I say get a DC. You can play around with the emulation for SNES on Dreamcast, and then buy an SNES later when you know exactly what games you want to explore! :)

Agreeing with everyone else to get the accessories you need for the consoles you already have. After that, I'd say the SNES because it has a larger game set to choose from, BUT get a DC later on also. They're both awesome.
Well, first things first, I think you should get the hook ups for systems you already have, especially the Saturn because personally I've been playing that much more than my SNES or DC. Both SNES and DC have excellent games, so if you can only get one, get the one with the games you want. The consoles usually sell for cheap though, about $20-30 for DC and maybe $30-40 for an SNES. Eventually you should be able to have both.

I would get a Dreamcast now and pick up a SNES cheap at a garage sale in the summer.

Don't quote me on this, but I do believe that some of the DC cords work with the saturn and if that is the case you will be killing two birds with one stone. Both the Dreamcast and Saturn use a generic power cable (exactly the same as Xbox, too). You can get them for cheap at GameStop, or probably even Radio Shack.

All right, I will get the cords I need. Then I think I am going to pick up what ever I can find first. I owned a snes at one time and it was great, but I think I want to play the dreamcast first.

Take Flack up on his generous offer for the N64 controller, if you haven't already. Some places, particularly online stores, tend to set prices fairly high on the N64 controllers.
Get your Genesis set up! The Genesis could be considered the equivalent of the Super NES, in that they share many of the same games and are both 16-bit systems. Sure, both have their exclusives but I think if you complete the Genesis, you should enjoy it as much as you would enjoy the Super NES. Just my opinion, anyway.......The Super NES may have better graphics but aside from that, I consider them to be about equal. I've always found Genesis games are easier to find in thrift stores, anyway.
