I haven't seen this thing before. It is a banking/answering machine for the megadrive. There's a couple links on the page with more info.

Yeah, it's one of several dozen additions to the DP Genesis list that are waiting to be incorporated into the database next time it is updated (whenever that may be...)
However, it doesn't provide an answering machine service like that link claims, it's just Sega's own version of the Mega Modem telephone banking system (another Nagoya-branded version also exists)

some days ago,i hears a Smisey Home was sold for 800+€, that's like 125000 Yens.
First time i heard 1 for sale, such as Nagoya ( but i bought that one! :)

Yeah, it was one of the different uses the Mega Modem had in Japan, which was llaunched in response to Nintendo's own Famicom network. It never took off and was killed after about a year.
Ask cyberguile/massimiliano, he told me a spanish friend of his paid "800 and some" Euros for Smisey Home
