I've gone far too long playing videogames that don't contain any semblance of plot or good puzzles and now I'm reading to binge on some good old fashioned adventure games. I was wondering if anyone can recommend me some. I'm particularly looking for obscure oldies but goodies although a few newer adventure games would be welcome too.

I already know how amazing Monkey Island is. :P

Abandonia is awesome! Thanks! I've been thinking about "I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream." Anyone played it?

I'm playing through Star Trek: Judgment Rites right now and it's flat out fantastic. The writing is superb and the ship battles from the first games (Star Trek 25th Anniversary) have been toned down considerably. Pass on the floppy disk versions and head straight to ebay for a cd version (I picked up the collector's edition for $20, but you can just as easily get the normal cd edition for like $10).

If you haven't played Star Trek: 25th Anniversary, snag that too and play it first. DOSbox works flawlessly for both of 'em.

Shame they've been forgotten by most people as they're both still fantastic games over a decade later :)
