I was trying to find out if there is two versions of Viva Pinata for the 360, the reason why I'm asking is because there is a version with a funky box and in some places it is listed as the special version. I was only able to find one picture of a regular box, but I'm not sure...

There was only one version, so far as I know. I think they scrapped the two versions and went with the special one alone. Could be wrong though...

I really hope they release it in a normal dvd case, that one box is alittle too funky for my tastes.

It is out in a tin and plastic case.

I'm starting to see more plastic cases than the tin ones, now.

I have no idea what the differences between the two could be, aside from the obvious.

Sorry to ressurect this post, but now I'm confused with VP:

I have the Plastic SE edition: Barcode 882224277273 Item S75 00095
A canadian friend also has Plastic SE Barcode 882224387026 Item S75 00159

I have never seen a TIN case version but have seen this listed as a barcode for "Viva SE" (on Half.com & ebay): 882224277235

I also know that a normal clamshell version is now floating around stores..which I don't have the item number barcode for...can anyone help:

a) verify a tin case version
b) identify the barcode & item number off the "regular" VP

I've never seen the Tin case, I just have seen plastic cases

So I don't entirely know if the Tin one exists

There is the wierd case and a normal case available. I've seen both.

Yeah those are the two I've seen..I'm beginning to think that the tin version diskoboy mentioned was the weird plastic sleeve version that looks like other LE Tin case games but isn't made of tin.

You are correct. Its a plastic case that looks like one of the TIN ones but isn't. Thats the Special edition, there is a regular version that is in the normal plastic case.

Doesn't explain the extra barcode that is floating around though:

882224277235

I think Microsoft originally intended to launch two versions at the time teh game was released and then changed to just the SE at launch and then only recently started doing the clamshells.

Still looking for a barcode and item number for the clamshell version so I can put this issue to rest...and update VGR.

There is a back shot of the standard case.

The kid's clamshell case with slipsleeve also has a bonus DVD that I don't see listed on the second run that's sold in the regular green Amaray case. I've seen quite a few stores with both versions for sale.

I was in our local Target today and saw the regular cased Viva Pinata behind the glass.

@ RevQuixo
The 'Special Edition' bar code is 8 82224 27727 3

Based on the scan above it is also the barcode for the non-SE version too.
